Hi!

Could someone tell me if drinking 64 oz. or more of green tea a day would qualify as drinking water, as required for O!?

Thanks!

Debbie

I would guess if you drank it plain it might be considered as drinking water yes, but the Green Tea does give more additives and other things for your body to filter out instead of helping the Body Flush its system.

Thats an Awful lot of Caffine. I would try to go for a lesser amount of the Green Tea and maybe add in an all natural Fruit Juice as a booster and plain water. or 2. try to find a happy medium between a water and tea combination through out the day.

Also there are alot of Alternative Flavored waters out now a days with 0 carbs, 0 calories, 0 sodium, if the plain water is just not your thing or you are looking for a change of pace.

I dont know if this actually answered or helped any. But if it did I'm glad and if it gave you any Ideas well thats good also.

SmileIt sounds like too much tea. Maybe you could do 32 oz of tea and 32 of water for a start. I know a lot of people don't like drinking water but it's so good for you. I agree with ShrOgre....try some of the flavored waters with no sugar added. Good luck.

Thank you for your input. I do truly appreciate it. You are right about the caffeine. I was just trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone by getting something additional into my system. I wonder if there is decaffeinated green tea?

'DebbieW' on a final note yes there are Decafe' Green Teas available. Good Luck to You. I would suggest finding a plain Decafe' Green tea and not one of those flavored ones.

*cheers*

Yours in health, Don't give up. Smile

Yes, Debbie there is a decaf Green Tea. It is very good and I use it straight. I get frustrated because it takes too long to steep and I want to drink it right way, so sad to say I have backed off but I am going to get back to it again because I know it helps me. I do have one cup with my lunch at noon when I do have some time for it to steep.

As for water. I have a bottle that holds 16 ozs. I drink it the first thing after my breakfast as I am comutting to work ( I have an hour drive). I fill it up when I get to work and I drink that before lunch. After luch I will fill it up again. I must admit this is my hardest but I try and get it down and if I don't finish it I will finish it on the way home. So you see I haven't had too much Green Tea like I know I need to be having ...but I am trying.

Balance IS the secret.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that I drink about 6 cups of green tea decaf which is organic. Trader Joe's , wholefoods and GNC or any vitamin store would carry these...the best benefit is because it is organic the body doesn't have chemicals or additives to fight.
