I've noticed on the Easy Does It tapes (level 2) that Jill says several times before starting an exercise "remember to tuck your buns". The question I have is that I thought the bun tucking was supposed to be done during the breath, not tucked from the start.
For example, on King Tut, she says to make sure your buns aren't sticking out, that they are tucked in, before the breathing has started. Any insights on this? Tracey! |

but was thinking maybe she is just reminding you to remeber instead of saying it when she gets to that part. Just a thought.

I find some exercises difficult to tuck the buns while concentrating on the abs. I have been doing ABS & UPPER BODY for 3 weeks now and there are
still some positions where I find myself so focused on abs and correct technique that I don't remember to tuck the buns appropriately...anyone else experience this or am I doing something wrong. I want to focus on my waist and abs, after having just lost 40 pounds and lots of middle excess flesh..any other good ideas for this? |

Hi,
It's my understanding that to tuck the buns is to keep the spine in alignment. I'm able to keep the bun tuck while flexing muscles as the stomach fills with air. But I've been doing oxycise since 1998. It took me a long time to master this, and it's worth it. |
