i take in a LOT of air, so much so that i'm still sucking it in during jill's "one, two, three" on the commuter tape. i don't even bother with the three extra sniffs because i'm still taking in so much air.
i exhale extremely hard and suck my abdomen in as hard as i possibly can. at the end of my session, i'm sweating. would i be off base if i concluded that i am burning about 2 calories for each breath and 8 for the whole rep? samantha |

I'm interested in this as well.
Did you get a chance to read the 11/10/03 note on 'calories burned on Oxycise'? In that string there is a note re: Calorie Burning & quotes Jill. If you haven't read it, you may find it interesting. One thing it says that is good to remember: "By doing Oxycise! on a regular and consistnet basis you will KEEP burning calories all day at a higher rate, because your metabolic rate stays elevated for about 24 hours after doing any kind of exercise." |
