I use the commuter tape to keep count for me, and it's also more fun to do it that way (I don't have a VCR) than to do it without accompaniment.

I know that you are supposed to force ALL of the air out on the exhale. However, the tape sometimes doesn't give me enough time to do this. Should I slow down and make sure all the air is out or can I continue breathing as fast as the tape?

Hi Buff,
I use the commuter tape for the same thing. It helps me keep moving through the workout. I know what you mean though, but I usually just keep up with Jill. I don't think that will be a problem unless you start feeling lightheaded, or have some other symptom that is unpleasant. Whatever works for you!

Thanks Susanna! Big Grin

In doing the workout last night, I realized that I can get almost all the air out, so I should be OK. I don't get dizzy now, but I did when I was O'ing before the last pregnancy.
