Hi,
I started 2 weeks ago and I can tell that I am gaining muscle on my arms and legs. My stomach is hard and bigger like when I was pregnet and I gained 4lbs. Has this happened to anyone? Do you think that I am breathing wrong?

Thanks Dawn

Hi Dawn! I just wanted to welcome you to the board. I really don't know the answer to your question, but I would recommend that you email Julie and ask her. julie@oxycise.com

I'm glad that you are gaining muscle in your arms and legs! That's great!

Please feel free to join us on the D2L thread, (determined to lose) each day for lots of support and encouragement.

Hi Dawn: I to got a larger stomach. If you have a big stomach it will get rounder and then start to going in. Don't push out to far for this to will make it even larger. Just tilt a little and not a whole lot. I had to learn this also.

Mine is starting to go in and is not as round as it was. it will take time. If you have a smallar abdomen it won't be as large. I have a stomach so doing the exercise will change the way it looks. Doing sit ups will do the same thing. It will round your stomach before it flatten it.
Hang tight it will get tighter and smaller.

Hi Dawn....welcome from me, too!

I do remember a discussion about this in the past. Make sure you aren't forcing your stomach out when taking your basic breath. Your lungs should fill to the max naturally which will cause your stomach to expand, too. You don't need to push it out, though.

Hope you'll join us in the D2L (determined to lose) thread each day for extra encouragement!

Dawn: I was kind of doing the same thing to begin with. BUT as Kelley says: do the basic breath, on inhale the tummy will expand BUT don't push it out. For me when it is full, I suck it IN and then take the three sniffs.
Be sure and go over the instructions again in your book and watch Jill again.
Just don't push your tummy out...suck it up! Cool

Hi,
Thank you all for your input. I watched the introductory video a couple of more times and reread the book. I just practiced the breathing for a couple of weeks first and then I started doing the level 1 workout yesterday. I was not pulling my stomach in and holding it after I took a breath and I was pushing my stomach out when I exhaled. I am going to join the D2L thread.

-Dawn
