Good morning! I just finished my Saturday O! session. Things were looking good at my weekly weigh-in: down one inch (.5 in my waist and .5 in my lower abs) and down 1.5 pounds!

Guess what?!! We have three new baby goats! It's been so hot I haven't been going down to look at the animals much and I had totally forgotten that two of the nannies were expecting. Michelle had twin kids and Shelley had a single. It's obvious the twins are half Boer. (both nannies are pygmy goats) As always, I'll be happy when they are a little bigger and a little less vulnerable.

Ellen...it was good to see your post! You've been busy! I enjoyed perusing all the pix on your site. Be sure and post a picture of the Pooh cake when you make it. I have a real soft spot for Pooh.

I'm wondering where Donna is, too. She hasn't posted in weeks!! There are others who haven't posted in awhile, also. Where are you???

It's gonna be a scorcher today. They're predicting highs of a 100 with indices of 105-110! My poor teenage DD works in an un-airconditioned dry cleaners! I just try to remind her to drink enough water throughout the day.

I have some good news, too. I measured this morning for the first time in quite awhile, and I've lost 1/2 inch on hips and thighs, and was down 1 pound as well. SO I'm happy with that!

I didn't O last night. I pushed the lawn mower until my legs ached! They feel fine today though, so I plan to O this afternoon.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend. Maybe we'll see some "old friends" on here today. I've been hearing from a few of them...so I hope so!

Well I haven't mowed or O'd yet; i have a terrible sore throat & am wore out. So I'll take today off unless I feel better later. We put the bedroom back together & the boys' roomlooks great!!

Well, as of Tues. I kicked myself real good & hard. I had slacked up on my water drinking & watching what I was eating with everything that was going on & gained back 6lbs. So I started back into it & dropped 4lbs. right way. So it must have been water. I have also started doing my "O" before I eat breakfast. That way I can't talk myself out of it. When I first started "O" I didn't think I would every have a problem making myself do it. I enjoy it SO much! BUT... anyway...I am back. I'm going to really try to stick with it for the long haul this time. I would really like to tone up. I have noticed a BIG differance just in the last 4 days. If I would have just stuck with it I would probably be where I want to be by now. Well, enough!!

We went to the Pooh B-day party this morning. DH will be getting the pics. on the web pg this week-end yet. Yes, Susanna, I like doing cakes. I don't do very many. I use to do them more back when my kids where young & then I got out of it. Started back up last year for the Grands. They like picking out what they want & mamaw making them. Makes it more special & cheaper for their mommies.

Well, I guess I don't need to write a book here. Have a GREAT week-end & keep cool!!

It seems like the most of the country is suffering from high temperatures. We very seldom get hotter than 95 degrees but factoring in the humidity, it feels like 105!! And we haven't had much rain all month. Orlando seems to be getting more than their fair share.

Well, I did a commuter on the way to the mall today. I also got a lot of walking in because when I shop I really shop. I found lots of great bargains and took advantage of our "tax free week" on clothes. You all can imagine how busy the mall was!

I'll try to check in tomorrow. It's been hectic at work and when I get home I'm too tired to post. I'll try to log in more often.

Know that I do think about all of you and I'm wishing you all great success with O!

Sorry I haven't been posting, I have no excuse except that it has been so hot here in Colorado that I haven't felt like doing O. I will try to get back in the groove on Monday. It has been at least 100 or more everyday here for the last couple of weeks.

Where have I been? How long has it been since I posted? Yikes! I can't even begin to tell you. Time is flying like crazy! I can barely keep up.

DH started his medical residency and is doing well so far. What a schedule!! There is an 80 hr/wk limit in effect, but most of the time, they push the full 80 hours. I'm not quite used to it all yet; it's strange not having him around as much!

As for me, I'm staying busy with home stuff, our two beagles, and my songwriting! I've written 9 new songs (7 tracks are complete) and I'm meeting with a new cowriter this afternoon.

Drum roll please... I've lost 4 1/2 more pounds! Slow and steady does win the race. Staying patient AND motivated at the same time is the hard part for me. I am O!ing here and there, and also doing a lot of dancing.

Well, feels good to be back! I'll try to check in more often...

Haven't done my L1 yet today. Will try to get that done this afternoon. It is just too hot to do much of anything.

EmBe, I'm glad to see you. Do you drink ginger, chamomile or peppermint tea? They all help with nausea sometimes. I always felt icky all the way through each pregnancy, so I can relate!!!

Just a word of warning about chamomile tea. That is that in large amounts, it can cause miscarriage in some women!!
