Hey y'all! I've done my O! for the day. DD and I just did our last morning walk video, also. I can't believe tomorrow is the first day of school!! I'll have to get into a different routine. I'll get up earlier and won't be able to do my O! until after they leave for school. Most of me is ready, a little bit dreads it.... yeah, well. Roll Eyes

2B, Shelby, Nancy, Sheila, Ellen, Jeans....it was great reading all of your posts yesterday! Congratulations on that new grandbaby, Jeans!!! Hope to see all of you (and others) today!

We'll have our last summer Bible study session today. The fall session begins in two weeks. I'm stepping down as the "organizer/leader" after the fall session. I sure hope someone else will volunteer to pick up where I'm leaving off!

Better get busy...the dogs want in and I still need to pack DD's lunch and fix breakfast.

Have a great day!

Hello O-buddies!

I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. I did my O last night though, and it was late...but I got it done, and that's what counts!

Today, we plan to go to the little county fair, and see what there is to see. The guys are looking forward to watching a tractor pull there tonight.

Ellen, I understand about the hip pain. Mine bothers me while travelling, too. It just takes the fun out of going very far!

Jeans, congratulations on your new grandson!!! I'm so glad everything is okay!!! How many children do you have? Yep, dilly bars are still just as good as they were back then. WinkThey're still under a dollar, but quite a bit more than a nickel! I looked Garrison up, and know I've never been there, but it's fun to know that's where you're from. We've gone into ND several times, to visit family and for church conventions.

Sheila, I would never be able to pass on cheese cake. I think it's my very most favorite dessert.

Nance, good to see your post.

Alysia, thanks for answering my question. We met a really nice couple from over there several years ago. She was a nurse, and he was an ambulance driver. How old are your children?

Gotta run. Have a great day everyone!

Hi All -
Got my commuter in & yes, I keep thinking Roll Eyes about getting busy & doing tapes with good stretches for me!
Jeans, congrats on your new grand! Just thinking about a new baby warms my heart - bet you can't wait to get there & hold him. Garrison, ND - WOW that brought back a nice memory for me. When I was young (too old be called a 'little kid' but still in school - maybe jr high?)my family took a vacation - the ONLY one ever that was more than just a day trip (life of dairy farmers!) and we went through there and took a tour of Garrison Dam, etc. My mind really drifted after reading your post. That trip included my 1st stay in a hotel - in downtown Bismark. Very nice memory - thanks for jarring that loose!
Kelly, it is hard to believe school is starting alreay. Was this a.m. your last walk with DD?
How long have you been Bible Study coordinator? Has it been up to you to pick the courses to study?
On Saturday, we're moving our 27 year old back to school for his Masters. He's been out & working at a job he doesn't like; moved back with us last Oct to save to go back to school. I thought for awhile he may have forgotten about the moving out part Wink He has worked nights so we really didn't see much of him. Anyway, I hope that this will get him on a path that he's happier with - even if it isn't school & doesn't matter to me what he does - just want him to be content!
Hi to everyone else & KOB!

Okay, I'm browsing around here so I figured maybe now is the time to hop back in and post. I feel ready. I already did my O. I took my heart rate and was definitely in fat burning zone when I finished, but, what I'm wondering is how long are you supposed to stay in the fat burning zone? Anyone know? I'm going to do some searching on the net here in a minute to see but it may be hard to find since heart rate is such a broad subject. Congrats to Jean on that new grandbaby. My dad says the best thing about grandkids is you can give them back when they start crying. LOL Hope all is well with everyone and I hope I can keep up with posting. I do enjoy it I'm just a slacker most of the time!! Ta ta for now!!

Nevermind. Found something. Lookee here.

3. How long should I work out to burn FAT?

An aerobic workout should last at least 12 minutes, not counting warm up or cool down, only the amount of time your HR is within your Training Zone. The longer and more frequently you do this the sooner you'll see an improvement.
Why 12 minutes? According to experts, this is the amount of time needed for the body to start producing FAT burning enzymes. It does level off, but the idea is that you want to get your body to use FAT for energy. After 12 minutes, you start to burn fat at a higher rate.

Okay, so what I need to do is tomorrow take my heart rate after a couple of o breaths. I want to know if my heart rate is up there right away. If not, it would most likely be beneficial to do two O sessions back to back. Am I making sense?

SmileI did my commuter on the way to work and when I finish with my post I plan on doing L3.

My DIL went home from the hospital today but baby boy is on a respirator and will have to stay until his lungs are stronger. I have such an ache in my heart but lots of prayers today seemed to lightened the load somewhat.

Susanna, I have two beautiful children, a daughter 32 and a son 31. They are 15 months apart and have always been very close. My son and DIL have two kids; a baby girl born last Oct and baby boy born four weeks early two days ago. I don't think I know anyone who has kids that close in age! I'm sure they're out there, I just don't know them. Big Grin

2B, I don't remember Garrison Dam. But then it's been more than 40 years since I lived in Garrison and I don't remember much about that time...I'm glad it jarred a good memory. I always loved staying in motels when I was a kid too. Susanna stirred the memory just by eating a dilly bar. See what you did Susanna? Wink

Terrie Kay, thanks for the info on the heart rate. See O! is good for us!

Okay, I've gone on too long. Thanks for the congrats on baby boy. If you would like to say a quick prayer for him, I would be very grateful.

Thanks for being here. I love you all.

Jeans Big Grin

Hi Everyone,

Haven't done my O! yet but know I will definietely do it today. My daughter is having a friend sleep over so I will have to hide away and do it in my room (I must admit, it looks pretty silly doing it!)

Susanna, where in Australia were the couple from?
I have a 13 year old son and a 10 year old daughter. I am 32 and I have been with my husband for nearly 15 years.

Gotta go Alysia
