Good morning y'all! Did my O! and a 2-mile walk video this morning.

I sure was glad to see more posts when I logged in this morning! I thought it was just going to be 2B and me yesterday. It's always more fun when there are LOTS of us posting!

2B...I don't remember...what kind of diet are you supposed to be eating for AS? Has that Superfoods cookbook helped you any?

Susanna...I don't think you ever scare anyone off!! In fact, you're usually responsible for helping get people back to posting. You're a great encourager! Smile

When is your sister arriving, Sheila? I'm sure you are looking forward to having everyone together!

It's good to hear you're sticking with your O!, Alysia. The commuter is a tape/CD that you can use in your car to O!. It has a routine of 10 positions you can do while driving that are repeated three times for a full workout. I don't multi-task well, so I've never really liked O!ing while I'm driving. Lots of people use it, though.

Brigitte...you're getting there! It won't be long before you're back into the full swing of O! again! It really is good to have you back.

okay....gotta go pack a lunch and make breakfast for DD. Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Good Morning "O" Pals!

I did L4 yesterday. Meant to get back on here last night & post that, but didn't make it. Planning on doing a tape once I get off here. I also went swimming for about 2 1/2 hrs. yesterday.

I kind of started The Pocket Diet that Joi talked about. I went on the web-site she gave & they sounded SO good. That I just had to try some. If what the scales told me this morning is any thing like that by the end of the week, I'm hooked! I really like what I saw!!!Wink

Susanna...You are such a sweetheart you could NEVER scare anyone.

Kelly...I thought of you Monday as I vacuumed.Big Grin How are the animals doing? Haven't had an up-date lately.

Leah...I'm with Kelly on that it is all about "cals. in vs. cals. out". You just have to find something you can live with & DRINK THAT WATER!!!

2B...Congratulations on being good eating out. I have yet to do that.Roll Eyes We eat out so rarely that when we do I have a hard time being good.Eek

Alysia & Brigitte... Welcome!!!

Sheila...Bring on the pecan pie! T-dinner sounds good here, too!

Need to go. Have to bake some cakes for a baby shower tomorrow night. Going to bake today & decorate them tomorrow.

Hi Kelly and Ellen and anyone to follow:

Didn't do O yet today. Will do that this evening before I go to water aerobics. I'm kind of down in the back from all the vaccuming at the church north of town for our thanksgiving dinner this saturday.

Kelly, my sister and her husband arrived here on July 23rd, and we are having the thanksgiving dinner for them and all the other family this saturday. They will be leaving to go back to Australia on August 17th. We have enjoyed having them here. They have redone my Mom's bathroom and have painted the livingroom and hall ceiling where water had leaked in.

Kelly and Ellen, you ladies are so faithful in doing your O every day. I applaud you both.

Better get to work. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Keep smiling and KOB.

Sheila Wink

Hi All -
Good to see more posts today.
Did my commuter today. I believe that doing the tapes is much better than the commuter but, of course, better than nothing. I have about an hour commute and it usualy takes me the entire trip to to finish. Depending on traffic, I don't alway finish in an hour. So, for those of you getting your O! without relying on the commuter - 3 cheers!
Kelly, the short answer to the AS diet is no refined sugars or starches, milk/dairy,no animal fat or beef (due to amount of fat). No candy has been fairly painless but can't say the same for starch. In addition to refined, potatoes are to be avoided, anything fried, etc. AND BANANAS TOO! It would be so simple to pick up a banana for breakfast, but NO! The Superfoods book includes beans which are also to be avoided. So, I'm using what I can of that. I also have this powder - Ultra InflamX that I take twice a day (mixed w/juice) another supplement to fight inflation and a new one - a good bacteria to fight the bad bacteria - Klebsiella (sp?) that feed on the foods I'm not suppposed to eat. The dr I'm seeing feels that this is all primarily caused by Crohn's and my back won't progress much until all the anti inflam stuff clears up my "innards" - probably a couple more months. I want CHEESE!!!

Sorry, this got longer than I hoped so gotta run. KOB everyone.

Hi O buddies,

No O yet today but I was reading posts and now I am curious. Ellen, what is this pocket diet that you are talking about? I need all the help and motivation I can get right now. I started out so good but the last few months I have really slacked off and my scale and tape measure show it. Now I am so mad at myself b/c I was doing so well. I just can seem to get back with it again.

Thanks for any info you can give me.

Hello Ladies!

Good to see more posts today! Thanks for your kind words, Kelly and Ellen. I just hope I haven't been too pushy with my suggestions.

This morning, when I went out to do my chicken chores, I was pretty upset to find that a weasel had gotten into our young hens, and killed every one of them! (We had 25.) We have 2 coops, and the older hens are in one that's south from the house, and the "babies" were in a better one west of the house. However, it wasn't good enough! Dh & ds buried them for me, so I was glad I didn't have to look at them anymore!

Then, I reminded myself of my dear friend who has a dd about the age of our oldest ds, and she's in ICU after a bad car wreck. That kind of puts "chickens" in the right perspective.

Lin, that website is http://www.pocketdiet.com. I know how hard it is to get things back under control again. Lately, I've started doing O throughout the day, instead of just once at night, like I did. Somehow, that makes me feel more in control all day long.

2B, I'm sorry it's so miserable! I hope it really helps you though!

Sheila, I hope your back feels better, soon. We're having all the summer squash we want right now, but not much else yet. I hope we weren't so late planting that everything else freezes before it ripens! How about your tomatoes? Ours are full of blossoms, but very little fruit.

Ellen, I enjoyed your post. Have fun with those cakes and the shower! Have you ever read "Amelia Bedilia and the Surprise Shower"? I love books about her! She's so funny!

Kelly, thanks so much for sharing your pictures! Your animals all look so healthy and well cared for!!!

Hooray Brigitte, keep it up! Big Grin

Alysia, glad to see you here, too. Keep up the good work!

I did extra reps yesterday, and plan to do extras today, too.

Hi All, I managed to do my O! this morning. I am a flight attendant so I had to fly out at lunchtime so I am glad I managed to fit it in. Sometimes I just can't be bothered doing any exercise when I know i have to fly for up to 9 hours! With O! it's so easy just to do it and get it out of the way. I try to walk or ride as well if I am not working. I am actually seeing some results, a loss of 1kg in the last 5 days. I can't believe it since being diagnosed with underactive thyroid I have found it really difficult to lose even 1 kg. It usually involved starving myself and doing strenuous exercise...... Now I am just eating healthily, doing O! and a bit of bike riding or walking.
