Hey everyone! I just finished my O! for the day as well as a 2-mile walk video with DD.

Glad you're enjoying the pocket diet so far, Ellen. That site did look fun! Lin, did you get a chance to check it out?

Sheila, it sounds like y'all are really staying busy while your sister is here. Hope everything goes great on Saturday!

Gee, 2B...it doesn't sound like there is much left that you CAN eat!!! I would have real trouble with that diet. I guess if I knew my health depended on it, though..... Anyway, I admire your efforts.

Susanna... I felt so sad when I read about all your poor hens!! Yes, I know in perspective to other things it might not seem like that much, but it's still sad. Thanks for the nice comment about our animals. Yes, they are quite spoiled to be "farm" animals. That's why they're so friendly when we go down to the pasture....they hope we'll have a bucket of sweet feed for them to snack on!

Brigitte...keep at it!! You'll get back to a full routine soon!

Alysia, I'm glad O! is already working for you. Isn't it great having something that works so well yet takes so little time?!

We had a brief rain late yesterday afternoon. It was less than half an inch, but I'm sure our grass and flowers still enjoyed it. A little is better than nothing!

Breakfasts and lunchboxes await! Better run....

Hi all,

Thank you to each of you for your wonderful support and encouragement. I have relied on you the past few days even though I haven't been posting. I have been so discouraged because of the gain in weight and inches I found when I measured last week. Well last night after oxycising with DH we got to talking and he said that he didn't think it was possible for someone to gain as much as I said I did in the last month and that he thought I needed to re-weigh and re-measure and so I did the first thing this morning. Guess what? My measurements were way off! Not only have I not gained 5 pounds and 2 1/2 inches I have acutally kept the same weight and lost 2 1/4 inches! Eek I am excited to be seeing results after less than a month of faithful oxycise. 1 1/2 of those inches lost came off of my hips alone! Now that is a nice find! Big Grin

You ladies are wonderful. I think that if it weren't for you, I'd have given up on Oxycise after last week. Thanks again!

Leah

Morning All -
Leah, I am SO glad for you. Understand why you were frustrated and very glad to hear this is working for you - KOB!
Well, Kelly, my response yesterday was way TMI! I re-read and kinda groaned Roll Eyes Anyway, this is what I have chosen to do or at least try long enough to give it a fair chance. I do believe that, in the long run, it is better than popping a bunch of pills that not only simply mask but very well my ultimately do more harm than good. So, I shouldn't whine about it. I think it was you and Susanna who wrote about thinking way too much about food - I'm there with you which doesn't help this. I like food, I like cooking, I enjoy going through cookbooks, etc. so I need to re-direct for awhile. I will be fine!
Susanna, I'm really sorry about your chickens. I was thinking about how scared they were, etc. & I have trouble dealing with that stuff. Not too mention all the work that goes into keeping them.
This is getting too long again but feel compelled to tell a quick story. When I was very young (& dumb!) I was engaged to a guy from the south. When I went to visit I, of course, got teased about my northern accent. In my youthful arrogance, my reply was I don't have an accent - you do. Well, now that I've been away from MN for so long I have to say - those people up there really talk funny!!! And I fall right back into it after talking with them for a short time. I love accents and local phrases! That thought was prompted by Kelly's poll. To me, Coke is Coke, Pepsi is Pepsi and everythng else is pop & I voted Razz

Hello O-buddies!

I just felt so good when I read your posts this morning! I love being able to come in here and share a bit of your lives!!!

I keep "seeing" my hens...and thanks for your sympathetic understanding. It was a gruesome sight, and I keep feeling sorry that they had to face such a terrifying death!

Our little friend has been brought out of sedation now, and is talking again! We're all so relieved! She had some brain injuries that had us all wondering.

LEAH!!! AWESOME RESULTS!!! I'm so happy for you!!! Big Grin

2B, Coke is Coke and Pepsi is Pepsi to me, too, along with root beer is root beer...but all the rest is pop! Isn't that funny? I enjoyed your funny story! Wink

Alysia, I'm glad you're seeing results already, too! How interesting that you are a flight attendant. I've always thought that would be so wonderful...but I'm really thankful to just be a ranchwife now. Wink

YAY Brigitte!

I did my extra O yesterday, and plan to keep it up!

Hello to everyone else.

Janice.... Here's a quick kick from me <KICK>. Just try taking a few Oxybreaths. Sometimes just getting started is the hardest part. It usually goes by quickly and makes you feel so good in the process!

...and if you don't manage to get it done today... don't beat yourself up about it. Just resolve not to let that become a habit. Start back in again tomorrow. Are you trying to O! 7 days a week? I have to allow myself one day off just for sanity sake. I enjoy my Oxycise! and feel good when I do it, but I also enjoy having one day a week I don't have to do anything!

Hi Everyone,

Well I have been out of action here for awhile. Trouble with my gallbladder. Am now going to go private for surgery on 22nd August which is going to cost a fortune. I am getting both gallbladder and hysterectomy done, I can't wait, I just hope that it is the answer to all my problems.

I have slowly been managing to loose some weight though by trying to change my portion sizes and have lost 1.6 kilos (3.5 pounds in 2 weeks) so am happy with that seeing as I haven't done any exercise.

Glad to see so many new people on board and everyone seeing such good results.

Hopefully after things settle down after surgery I'll get back into routine.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Melinka

Melinka!

Thanks so much for checking in and letting us know what's going on with you! I'm so sorry that you're having such serious problems, and hope the surgery goes very well. Do they do the scope type of surgeries there, where they don't make a very big incision, but use little slits for entrances and lights and cameras? I haven't had any surgery done for several years, but I know they've really improved their techniques over here.

Congratulations on your weight loss!!! That's great!!! I'll be looking forward to seeing you on the board more, after your recovery.

Sending warm wishes your way!

Okay, I did 6 reps. I'm sniffing and puffing and tucking like my life depended on it. Result? Those 3 minutes felt like a true workout. Razz
