Hey everyone.

Hoping all is going well with you Melinka! Praying for you!

I did L1 w/o weights. The backs of my legs are soooo sore! I must be doing something right. I'll try & get another one in this afternoon or evening.

Have a great WE everyone!

Shelby

Good morning Shelby and all... my muscles have also been more sore lately from doing O! than from the other exercise I was doing before. I think it's because when I O!, I can concentrate more on just flexing the muscles, and not the movements I have to make.

I've still been doing 15 minutes of O! in the shower every night... Friday night being the 5th night in a row. I don't count the breaths, I just do 15 minutes, so I'm probably actually getting more than 30 reps in. Prior to this week my weight was up and down a pound every day despite watching what I eat and doing traditional exercise. Since doing O! this week my weight held steady at the lower pound, and then yesterday I was down a half pound. (I weigh daily.) That's somewhat encouraging, but I'll get more excited when I lose the weight I gained just last year... about 7 (out of 10) more pounds to go. Then work on the rest of the "baby weight" I gained before that. Razz

Good afternoon, Shelby and Rose!

Rose -- so great to see you posting here again. Big Grin Glad you're back!

Melinka -- there you are!! Crossing my fingers for you. Hang in there, and don't forget to O! Smile

Merritt -- you and your DH are in my prayers. Remember that God never gives you more than you can handle!! Let us know what happens.

Well, I am about to turn on my VCR and Oxycise. I didn't get in any O! yesterday -- not even my own routine with the audio CD -- so I will double up today. Yesterday I did 30 minutes of weight training and a 1-mile walk. Thursday I did my bellydance routine; same with Wednesday. There, I think that sums up the days that I didn't post here. Cool

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! Winter weather advisory for us tonight; apparently the temperature is really supposed to drop, then the freezing rain/ice will move in!! Yikes!

I'll post again later... or tomorrow. Wink

Tammy

Hi Tammy, Rose, and Shelby....and the others posting around the site this morning! I've already done my Oxycise for the day.

Well...I'm smiling today for a couple of reasons. First of all, it raining! Yea!!! I just hope we can get a few inches before it fizzles out. It said in the paper this morning that we have only gotten 17% of the rain we normally get for January. On top of that, we only got 75% of our annual rainfall last year. I'm just wanting our pond to fill up!

Secondly, I was pleasantly surprised at my weigh-in this morning. My inches stayed the same (always better than a gain), but I actually lost a half pound!!! That's great considering how bloated I am. PMS for me can last anywhere from a day or two to weeks at a time. My body has never been the same since I had kids. At least since I've been Oxycising I don't get nearly as despondent as I use to during that time. Crabby...yes, but not so depressed.

I'm saying prayers for all of you who have requested special thoughts. God is good and has a special plan for each of us!

Hope everyone has a really good weekend!

Kelly

I guess I should mention that the half pound I lost now puts me at a total of 10 pounds since I got serious about this again. I think that was back at the beginning of November. I'm still 11.5 pounds away from where I was after my first year of Oxycising (when I had lost 44 pounds) but I have confidence I can get there again. In fact...I'll not only get there, but I'll lose even more. How's that for confidence!?!

Can you believe the week-end is here already? Time is speeding by. Do you realize we are at the end of January? The saying about "time flies by the older you get" sure is true.

I just finished oxycising with my 2lb. weight. It's going pretty good. I have to say I do feel the stretches more. Feel really good! Razz

Does anyone know if peanuts (no matter the type) cause bloating? Confused I've been eating them lately and in the evening my stomach stretches so much from being bloated it hurts. Frown

Well, gotta run. Going to help my husband put up molding in our bedroom.

Have a good one you guys!

Until next time...

Susie, I used to always get indigestion from eating peanut butter sandwiches, so I just stopped. Usually the only way I can eat peanuts is by only combining it properly (as outlined it Fit For Life by the Diamonds, or Somersizing by Susanne Somers). But I don't like them much anyway, so I just usually skip it if I have a choice. Smile

Rose

P.S. When I have a stomach ailment whether indigestion or nausea (esp. when I was pregnant) I like to have natural ginger ale. The kind you get at nutrition stores that has real ginger in it... I think Reed's is the most widely available brand.

Hi Everyone!

I got back late this afternoon from Estes Park and seeing my Mom. We really had a nice visit. I feel like I have been away a long time! It's nice to get away at least once in your lifetime--lol--(my family really is great--!!!)

I didn't take my O! tape with me--but got up early this morning--and did O! for a half an hour--looking out at the beautiful mountains.

OK--first I wanted to say--Jennifer--and Susanna--thanks for the encouragement--for me only doing O! once a day--by saying you guys make me feel like a "slacker"--I was more saying--how IMPRESSED with you all--that you can do it two times a day! You're my heros! If you can do it twice--I can do it --at least ONCE!

Merritt--most people who aspire to greatness--have been completely down on their luck--I hope this job situation of yours--and your husbands--proves to be the best thing that ever happened to you both! We will be thinking of you!

Kelly--WOW--great job--we're going to be having all kinds of parties in the Yahoo groups!

Melinka--it is so nice to see you back! I have my ultrasound on February 4th. I haven't gotten my blood tests back yet--from my tri-scan. I will get them on the 4th as well. I hope everything turns out okay for you. I will be thinking of you!

Everyone else--have a great rest of the weekend--and KOB!

Julie

Hi all!

It's been snowing here since around 10AM today, and now the freezing rain is moving in! We're officially on severe weather policy, so no work for me tomorrow (most likely). The roads are so treacherous; the news just reported that there were over 400 accidents reported by the DOT today! Tomorrow's interview day will go on as scheduled (academic program in the med ctr), though a little shorter / altered schedule -- applicants have flown in from all over the place! DH doesn't have to go in, but needs to deliver some paperwork to the med school, so if and when he goes in, I'll probably go with him. It's sooooo cold right now! Nearly 1" of ice accumulation is expected -- yikes! Eek

The good news is that I got my walk done today -- 2 miles!! Big Grin I bellydanced this afternoon, and I'm about to pop in my O! CD. Good way to stay warm! Wink

Talk to you all soon... hope your weekends were great.

Tammy

Here I am, posting on the accountability board for the first time. I did O on Saturday and will get in a workout tonight before bed. I also am trying to do a T-Tapp bootcamp for about two weeks. Anyone else doing T-Tapp with O? Thanks for letting me be held accountable.
