I had asked this question of Julie many months ago with no response, so I will try again...

Jill recommends 5-7 sessions per week for results, correct? My question is this... if I was to do say, 2 sessions in one day, on two or three days during a week, would that be okay to count towards my 5-7 sessions per week, or is it better to spread them out one session per day for better results?

Or, worded in another way... Would the results be similar if I only Oxycised 3 days/6 sessions or is it better to do 6 days/6 sessions?

Thanks for your help!

Brennen

Brennen, I really can't answer your question except that I do know consistency is important. But I'll be looking for responses from others on this too.

Hi Brennen,

I don't have an "official" answer for you, but this is what I think. Each complete Oxycise workout revs your metabolism up for 24 hours, and helps your body burn fat faster for that long. Doubling up on workouts burns more calories,....but I don't think it would necessarily keep your metabolism revved up for a longer period of time. So, I think it's better to do one workout per day, at least 5 days a week for consistent results.

If you want to, you can email Julie directly, and she will answer your question. Her address is Julie@oxycise.com .

I'm still here... just been soooo busy at work, and moving to a new house at the same time!

I have another question... do any of you think that the at home, as opposed to the commuter tape is better for weight loss? I can get it done better in the car, than at home, because I feel so silly doing it, that I don't want to when my husband is home. Does anyone else feel that way? And I also will "hold back" at the commuter if I'm around other cars where people might see me DIWG... Is this silly of me?

Hi Brennen...glad to see you're still with us. I think the most important thing is to get the Oxybreaths in. The advantage to the video workouts is the added toning they provide.... at least that's the way I see it.

and yes....I can relate to your worry about people in other cars seeing you and wondering what on earth you're doing!! I always feel awkward doing that "back scratch" position and will usually sub it with the bun squeeze. As far as doing it at home, my dh has done it with me before, so he doesn't pay me any attention if he's around. It bugs my kids, so they usually take off if they hear me take that first breath, lol!

Hi Brennen, I know exactly what you mean about feeling silly/self conscious . . .when I do mine, I go to my room and shut the door behind me. I guess because isometrics isn't your typical exercise, it's easier to feel weird about it? But hey, if it gets the job done, I have NO complaints! :P

Brennen,
I'm so glad you're still with us! I always go off by myself to O, too. Once in awhile, one of the children has wanted to do it with me, and that's kind of fun. I feel that you get a lot more coverage with the other workouts, but the commuter is certainly better than no workout.

When my husband first saw me, he laughed, but I just said, "I'm breathing away my fat, watch out you don't inhale..you might get some of it!" He doesn't laugh anymore, I sometimes even do it right beside him.
