Good morning everyone! I just finished my O! for the day (or I guess I should say for the weekend since I don't usually O! but once over the WE). The kids have gone to take their ACT. DD is hoping she'll improve enough that she doesn't have to take it again (even though she did quite well her first time). DH offered them both a "cash incentive" if they'll score 30 or better. We'll see....

This week I was down a half pound and an inch and a half. Not bad! I'm really getting lots of comments from folks....some even concerned about how much more I'm planning to lose! I guess I should tell them that I'm not really "dieting". I hope to keep eating the way I have been. I figure when my body is where it's supposed to be, I'll stop losing. Then I'll just have to make sure I don't get complacent (like I have at times in the past) and let myself slip back into old habits and start gaining! I realize things shift as we age, but I still weigh about 40 pounds more than I did 20 years ago and probably wear 2 or 3 sizes larger than I did then. Yeah, well... at least I'm happy with what I've accomplished so far.

Hope all of you have a great weekend!

Good Morning, Kelly & all to follow this week-end! I haven't "O"ed yet, but will get in something here soon.

I haven't posted this week. But I have visited. So I've kept up with the news. Sounds like everyone is busy, busy!

Kelly...I do some what like you. I write down everything I eat & calories. We don't eat out much, but when we do it is usually a Fast Food place. I have a book I picked up years ago called the "Fat Book". It has a lot of the fast food places listed. Some of the menus have changed over the years, but I can still look in there & get some what of an ideal to the calories. I also draw a Frown if I go over my calories. I try to keep my cals. between 1200-1300. When you start to taper off on losing do you plan to cut your cals. more? Just wondering.

This past week I have been able to keep those 4 stubborn lbs. off. I was noticing that my skirts where feeling looser & my panties where baggy in the set, so I measured. I've lost 1/4in. in chest, 1/2in. at waist,1/2in. at hips & 1/4 in. in thighs. I also measure my lower abs. I lost 1/2in. there also. So that is 2 1/4 inches total. Wink The last time I measured was a month ago. So that isn't all in 1 week.

Congratulations to all the other loosers!!!

Hope Arlene didn't do to much damage. It is rainy here. Don't know if it is from Arlene or not.

Have a Nice week-end!

AWESOME NEWS, KELLY AND ELLEN!!! Can you hear me clapping? I'm so happy for both of you!!! Big Grin Big Grin

I have found that most of the fast food places have websites, and they post the calorie counts for their menus. That has really helped me to do a little research before we go out, so I know what to choose. I've been so surprised to know that there are several choices, even at places like Taco Bell, where I don't have to blow my calorie intake. There are times though, like when we're together with extended family, when I just don't worry about it. I just enjoy the fun, and eat whatever tastes good. I have learned to leave some things though, especially if I don't feel like they're "worth" the calories.

It's in the 80s here this afternoon, and very sunny. I must go do some mowing! Smile Did you guess that we have a big yard? By the time I get it all done, it's nearly time to start over.

Today is my only daughter's 13th birthday! I have a chocolate cake in the oven right now. Smile
I teased her that I was going to wake her up at 3:10 am just for revenge...but I didn't!

I didn't O yet today, but I plan to. Talk to you later.

Congratulations Losers! Smile

I'm not seeing any changes in weight or inches, but I'm already noticing that I don't wake up with a sore back anymore and my husband has asked me a couple times if I'm losing weight. Smile

I just finished Abs&UB. First time I've done it and it was tough for me! Eek Not sure I'm ready for that yet.

Have a good weekend all, and happy breathing,

Hey, Ellen....I have The Fat Book, too! I ordered a newer calorie book from Amazon not long ago, but I think I still like The Fat Book better. I figure when I stop losing I'll just accept it and try to maintain. I don't want to feel like I'm "dieting" and if I cut even more calories I think I'd feel deprived. Congrats on all those inches you've shed!!!

Susanna...I just looked up the nutrition information at a bunch of fast food places online. You're right...there are lots of them listed out there! One of my favorite places is Quiznos and I had tried looking theirs up not long ago. They only give info for a few select sandwiches (not the one I like), so I just didn't even try any other places. I'm glad you mentioned that in your post, though....it inspired me to dig a little deeper! Tell your daughter Happy Birthday!!! A teenager now! Smile

The kids said the ACT was harder this time than the first time they took it. Yeah, well.... we'll just have to see how they did.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!

Hey EmBe! It sounds like your body shape is changing.... and for the better if your DH is asking if you've lost weight. Yea! You posted while I was talking on the phone, so I didn't see it until I had already posted mine.

Hey guys I haven't been in much but I am still here! Illness has knocked me out but I keep getting back up.

I am back to ballet/pilates and weights for 6 weeks so we will see how well I do! I have already lost some weight and I am down into my smaller pants, size 20w - I am so excited!!!
I don't know how much weight a pant size is but I will take it whatever it is.

My next pants are summer weight jeans size 18W and just in time for the season!

I was going to order some capris from Sears but I will wait another month to do that. I am just melting away...lol!

My food is easy actually, I am eating no white flour or sugar or anything processed. Oh wait, I sometimes eat cheddar cheese - if that is processed?

I wanted to spread the good news with good people so thanks for listening.

Ciao ciao,
Nance

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all having a good weekend. It is Monday morning here for me already. Just had the cleaners here so at least I get to start the week with a tidy house, its great.

Still haven't done O!, but will as soon as I have posted this seeing as Ella is asleep and am not expecting anyone else until lunchtime.

Kelly you are doing great with your weight loss, I am on a stand-still at the moment, but then I guess that's not really surprising seeing as I haven't done much of anything for the last couple of weeks and my eating/water intake not great either. Plan on improving that this week. The next couple of days are busy but from Wednesday on will settle down a bit.

Hi to all the newbies, and Congrats to everyone having successes and keeping up with their O! routine, I wish it wasn't so easy to find excuses not to do things.

Have a great week everyone.
