The weather has changed here & it is partly sunny & 50 in Paris! WOW!

Got in L2. Hope to get another in. Tank tops I bought last summer are loose esp in the bust. Jeepers I hope I can keep SOMETHING up top. If only my butt would shrink like that!

Well the weight has been only barely edging downwards the couple of weeks since I started Oing again. But yesterday morning I took my measurements, and it seemed to be about 4 inches down. Eek I remember last time I measured it was night so it was probably more than normal, but I'm sure I'm good for at least a couple of those inches. Big Grin

That motivated me to not only keep on doing O!, but start doing positions. Yesterday I was looking at some jeans I have that are too small, and really getting impatient to get into them. Maybe I'll hang them on my bedroom wall to remind me. Smile

Good morning everyone. Gee Tammy, I hope you are feeling better today. I can't blame you for wanting to miss work. I am not one for public displays of sickness either.

Rose, it sounds like you are doing all the right things. I like the idea of hanging the jeans up so you can see them. It really is motivating. I continue to plan for my class reunion this summer. I just know that I feel 100% better than I have in a very long time.

Boy Shelby, you have a regular heat wave going in France. I would love to see some warmer temps. here. I always get this way in February.

I am kind of bummed because Dan and I were suppose to go on a christian marriage retreat this weekend. It has turned out that we have some added expenses we were not expecting and we decided we had better not take the trip given our current circumstances. I would still like to make it a special "us" weekend. Does anyone have any ideas on what we might do....other than the obvious? I want to do things that will force us to evaluate things and also take us to a place where we were in the beginning of our relationship. I know you can't go back to that but, I do think we need to concentrate on what brought us together in the first place. All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

My back is doing much better. I guess the adjustment I had yesterday took much better than the one I had on Monday. I was able to do a 2 mile walk this morning and a commuter routine. I am still careful about the deep breathing but, I am definitely on the mend.

Have a fantastic Thursday everyone!

HI everyone!

I didn't get any O! done yesterday--as I was gone most of the day--running errands in snowy cold Denver--I also had to have my ultrasound at 3 pm. The technician sort of indicated things looked normal--but they can't confirm. The doctor has to--and mine got called out--right before my appointment -for an emergency C-section. So--I will have to wait until next week to get an evaluation of photos. They did move my due date up--I am 1 week further along than they thought--making me 22 weeks on Monday.

Melinka--I have been thinking of you so much. Especially since I knew I would be having my ultrasound as well. I couldn't believe how advanced--just the ultrasounds have become--since I had Emily 10 years ago. Science has come so far--and I am sure they will be able to do great things for Baby Ella--you will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted.

Laura--it was nice to see your photos--what a nice smile you have!

Ellen--nice to see you too--no more smiley face mug avatar!

Donna--did anyone email you about the avatars--and photos--(all I know--is what Shelby told me to do--)--

Rose--WOW! 4 inches--gone to a better place!

Shelby--wouldn't it be great--if we could push our hips--right up to where our boobs--"use" to be! LOL! (that would certainly put all the weight loss gurus out of business!)

Merritt--what about checking a book out of the library--on relationships--(I'm not sure of any titles--but I could check with my sister(librarian). Or a book on love poems--it might be nice to snuggle up and read--and talk about what you've read--(by the way--READING wasn't what got me pregnant--LOL!)--

Kelly--you are so busy all the time--is that church time--a tax deduction--?? (just a little--pre-tax time humor--as we head into that fun time of year--)--

Hope you all have a great weekend--talk to you soon!
Julie

Merritt,

If you like to read...I have this great marriage book that I like to read with my DH sometimes, and then we can discuss the principles and how we can improve our relationship. And inevitably we do lots of reminiscing about the first days together. The book is The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work by John M Gottman. At the end of each chapter it has different projects or games you can do. This book is not like the average marriage book... the author actually did research on what components are in all great marriages. Not like most psychiatrists, who base their advice just on their own practice. The author is not a Christian (as far as I know) but he is Jewish. The book comes from a more neutral perspective, so people from any type of religion (or lack thereof) could benefit from it.

Good morning Shelby, Rose, Laura, Merritt, and Julie (and all to follow). I got in my workout this morning.

Tammy...sorry you were sick. Hope you're feeling much better now.

Congrats on the inches gone Rose. I hope I can say the same for myself soon!

Merritt, I'm sorry you won't get to do what you planned for the weekend. Hmmmm...not sure what to suggest. You could always rent some good movies and snuggle up. Maybe something you remember watching together at the beginning of your relationship to bring back good memories?

Well...we've had a fair amount of rain the past week or two and it's raining pretty good at the moment. We definitely have a pond now! Yea! It should still fill up even more, but it's really looking good. DH and I just drove down to check things out and it's really exciting. I'm ready to get some fish now to stock it.

Okay....I've got a busy day. We're starting a new Bible study today at noon then I have parent/teacher conferences in the afternoon. Oh...my 14 year old son passed the driving portion of his driver's test yesterday. (He made a 100 on the written portion last fall) So, he is now a licensed driver! He can only drive with an adult until he's 16, so there's still plenty of time for practice. We let our daughter get a "hardship" license early, so she was actually driving alone at 14....but we see no need for him to do that. My babies are growing up!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday. I'll check back later in the day.

Kelly

Hello...

Going to do L1 with weights and my 2-mile tape when I get off the computer.

Julie, yes, Shelby and Kelly did email me regarding the avatars (THANK YOU, BOTH!!! Wink), but, I tried again, and I can't do it. Mad I give up. Roll Eyes Kelly says you need your picture on a website first? Confused Do you have your picture on a website? Mine is just stored on my hard drive. I don't know the first thing about making a website.

Ok, well, enough of showing my ignorance...gotta go change a couple of diapers now and make my bed. At least I know how to do that! (LOL)

See ya...

Rose--
Congratulations on the inch loss! I really like the idea of the jeans on the wall, too. It definitely helps me when I try on jeans that are still too tight so I can see my progress and keep me motivated to fit into them. But I never thought about putting them on the wall! That's a great idea! Then its always there for you to notice and remember. Although, for now, I don't have any smaller jeans that are motivating for me to get into. I'm on the lookout for some that I like that don't cost too much since I'm hoping I don't have to wear them for too long!

Donna,
Yes, to get a pic on your avatar you must have it on a website since O!'s profile needs an address where it can access the photo. It will not be able to do it if your pic is simply on the hard drive of your computer. Usually you can get a simple website with your internet service provider. I don't know who you have but the info on that can be found at your internet service provider's website.
