Good Morning O!favorite Ladies!!

It's an overcast morning here in Dallas - makes me want to sleep. BUT, I can't - I'm at WORK!

I was able to get my O! in this morning, but no walking - got up too late and had to take my husband's clothes to the cleaners before going to work.

I did much better on my eating yesterday - lots of water and mostly fruits & vegetables. I did have some fish for dinner. I feel great and my skin is really improving. I have a "fruit meal" in the mornings and make it into a smoothie. This morning I had a smoothie with a fresh orange, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple chunks and some apple juice & water. It was FABULOUS! Razz

I always thought too much fruit would cause me to gain weight - WRONG! I have actually lost 13 lbs. since March 1 and my strength is returning, too. My skin is feeling better when I combine my food properly (I'm still on a learning curve) and I body brush each morning.

I made eggplant parmesean last week (a stretch for me) and everyone liked it - AMAZING! Eek I've never fixed eggplant in my life. Anyone have a good "healthy" recipe that includes an eggplant or some other "interesting" vegetable?

I have a corn chowder recipe that I'm going to try this week:

1 potato cubed
1 sweet potato diced
1 larlge carrot cubed
8 sweet corn cut off the cob (I'll be using frozen corn)
3 large spring onions or leeks finely sliced
2 T. vegetable stock (dry)
1 tsp. garlic/herb salt
6-8 cups of water

I'll let you know how it turns out. Have a blessed day!

Hi there!

I did L1 plus a few moves from L2 & 3. I feel better today than yesterday! Kids are on vacation and I feel lazy!

Here's a good recipe for ratatouille with interesting vegetables. This isn 't my recipe but it's pretty much what I make. Ratatouille

Good morning O!pals,

Melinda, 13 pounds! That's fantastic. Smile

I didn't O! today. Not feeling great and definitely not up to breathing with gusto today. So I just did a 3 mile dvd at real low intensity. Barely broke a sweat, but it's all I had to give today. It's better than nothing at all.

Happy breathing,

Good Morning Oxycise Pals,

It is so hard to believe that it is already April 22nd. Soon another month will be behind us!

Melinda, I really have a hard time at the Mexican restaurants also. My husband and I both LOVE Mexican food, but I sure agree they can be very challanging as far as making good choices. Every time I say I'm going to limit the corn chips, but they usually get the best of me and I end up eating too many! Frown Sometimes we split an order of Fajitas, and that is not too bad, but would not work for you if there is gluten in the flour tortillas.

Sheila, I had that "Weigh Down" weight loss book, and really enjoyed it. I ended up giving it to my daughter, but I really loved the principals and feel like that is really the way to do it if we could just remember to do it at all times. I'm so guilty of eating so many times when I'm not really hungry, or just to be doing something with my mouth when I'm not doing anything else. It is just a bad habit that I need to overcome, with the Lords help and lots of good Pals!

Susanna, sounds like you are really keeping busy with household duties, shopping and gardening!

Oh, Melinda I also wanted to say thanks for the corn chowder recipe. That sounds delicious, and very healthy. I have made a couple different soups over the last month, and it made so much that I have a number of portions that I froze and will bring them out again to enjoy later on. I think eating soup is a great way to loose the pounds.

Well, I'm sort of excited about the NBA playoff game tonight between our Phoenix Suns and the San Antonio Spurs. Those two teams have had a great rivalry for quite a long time. Does anyone else here like to watch basketball?

Shelby, I saw your post this morning, and saw you are posting all the way from France! Wow, that is pretty exciting to have pals all the way around the world! Oxycise is really great.

Hope you all will have a wonderful day, and have some FUN!!
Hugs,
Bev

Good Afternoon! Southern Indiana is finally getting some really BEAUTIFUL weather. I didn't get my "O" done yesterday before I had to go to work. But I worked out in the yard after work & then again after supper. So I'm not going to beat myself up over not getting in "O". Told DH that I was giving my "glutts" a good stretching with all the bending over as I pulled weeds & planted more hens & chicks.Big GrinWink

Did L3 this morning, then I've been doing 5-6 extra floor positions as I wait for the video to rewind.

Well, it's that time again.Frown Got to go get ready for work. Then I have Wed & Thurs off. YIPPY!!! Planning on working in the yard more & going to the park again with the grands & some friends on Thurs.

Have a Heathly Day!

Shelby, thanks for the recipe for Ratatouille. What is a "thick bottom" cooking pot? I have a Dutch Oven, which is pretty large - I can cook a roast/potatoes in it. I can't say it has a "thick bottom". Maybe you can shed some light on that term.

I'd say a heavy pot. One that wouldn't burn easily

Hope everyone had a good day! Smile

This morning, I did O!, hand weights and my usual exercise routine. We went for our 3.2 mile walk around the lake around noon. Following the walk, we went grocery shopping. We then walked an extra mile down our very hilly street to the post office. Eek It was a lot warmer by this time so walking the hills was quite a strain after already walking 3.2 miles. I really had quite a workout, today!

Last Friday was 2 weeks into this O! program again and measurement day. I lost another 1" making a total loss of 3 1/2" in 2 weeks. I don't know if I have lost pounds, yet. Confused We had a family gathering for my 2 daughters' birthdays over the weekend. I felt thrilled that they both complicated me on how much I have changed already!

Thanks Shelby for sharing the Ratatouille link! I will want to cook that with my grandson. He loves to cook and bake with me. I forwarded the link to his parents, too! Wink

I really enjoy reading your posts! There's a lot of info that I would like to share here eventually. I hope you all have a great night! Smile
