I haven't done O for 2 days because, frankly, I feel awful. My sinuses are worse,my IBS is flaring up and my lower back hurts. Now, since I'm out of work and can't call my doctor (no more health coverage), I did the next best thing: I stopped in at my local health food store today and talked to my friend who owns it. I explained my symptoms and told him I'd been doing the deep breathing with O.
"Sounds like your body is detoxing", he said.
Aha! I guess that makes sense since I've read other posts where people notice more body odor, etc. He told me to stick to a diet high in alkaline foods and drink plenty of lemon and water. He also told me to keep breathing! So, I expect I'll be back at it tomorrow. I still feel awful, but I'm glad that at least I know what's going on. Don't get discouraged if some of your health symptoms seem worse after you've been O'ing for a few weeks. You're body may very well be detoxing!

Hi Janice,

I'm new to the boards, but I thought I would respond to your post.

I had a cleansing reaction recently, too. I have been rebounding for 1 1/2 mos. and O-ing for about a month. A couple of weeks ago, I got a really bad cold, but it was more of a cleansing than just a cold.

I had just read in my rebounding book that if you feel a cold or flu coming on, to get on the rebounder and bounce even if it is a light bounce and your feet never leave the mat.

I tried it and amazingly, my cold only lasted four days. That was amazing to me because a cold usually stays with me for weeks. It starts in my nose and moves down to my chest where it lives for a few weeks. Smile

I know that from these two exercises, I have gotten stronger in order to have these cleansing reactions.

I used to be frustrated when I got sick, but now I look at it as a blessing, believe it or not, because I want that stuff out of me.

You should feel better soon.

Janice, I've always found that when my sinuses or allergies start acting up, if I'll go ahead and do my O! I usually always feel better by the time I finish. Also, if my nose is just a little stopped up, it ususally helps clear it up, too.

I know some folks can't O! during their TOM if they have cramps, but it always relieves mine.

As for the lemon water....I drink it all day long! I use to use fresh lemons, but I couldn't keep myself from sucking on them which was damaging my teeth....so now I just pour lemon juice concentrate in my water.

Hope you're feeling better soon!
