Good morning everyone! We've got some cold weather again..yesterday it got up to 73 and today it'll be 49 and windy! Such drastic changes are so annoying!! Roll Eyes I got in a commuter in the morning yesterday and now have a horrible sore throat (again!) and stuffed head. I swear it came out of nowhere!!

Shelby..hope all your problems are solved quickly!

Kelly...hope you're feeling better today...we all have days of sadness...just try and do something to take your mind off of whatever it is...watch a funny movie or something!

Angela..welcome and congrats on the pounds and inches lost..that's fantastic!

Ellen..weekends are the hardest for me too...no structure make it difficult for me! Hang in there!

Good to see so many people posting yesterday!!

Have a good day all!

Good morning everyone. Just a note that we are receiving e-mails from people in our address book that are worms. It will wipe nearly everything out in your computer.

Welcome Angie. I wanted to comment that it's not uncommon for people starting out not to be able to keep up with Jill. Another thing to note is that Jill is actually changing positions on the very last breath.

Blueeyes, I hope your dad is feeling much better soon. It's so scary when your parents become ill. I will say a prayer for him.

Tammy, good luck in the snow and ice. I know you are not used to it so, it's best to just stay in and do something fun with your hubby (is he there?).

I got up and did level 3 and strength training along with a commuter routine. Things are going well with my eating and I finally feel completely in control. What a wonderful feeling that is.

Have a fantastic day everyone.

Hello Laura , Shelby, Jennifer, Merritt, and later posters. I hope you feel better soon, Laura, I seem to be ailing from some unknown cause. Confused

Saturday I took a day off from O!, since I was so exhausted. I was going to do it Sunday, but right after breakfast I started having really bad gut pains. (I practically never get indigestion, and I had the same thing I always have for breakfast.) Ever since then my gut has been bothering me, though not as painfully anymore. Last night I finally did as much O! as I could, which was 10 minutes.

At first I thought it was stress from some unexpected financial concerns (I feel your pain , Merritt), but now I'm going with the mild food poisoning theory. I'm just trying to eat lightly, and concentrate more on veggies, etc., and hopefully this will clear up on it's own soon.

Thanks for listening... Smile

Hi all!!

The worms are on the move! I had 11 emails this morning with viruses attached -- luckily they were sent to my "bulk" email folder, though, so I didn't open them! I can't believe some people don't have anything better to do than create destructive viruses. Mad

The freezing rain is supposed to taper off mid-morning. I certainly hope it does!! Wink This area just does not function well in conditions like this. I don't know what city would, actually. This packed ice is just crazy. A few weeks ago, we had a very light dusting of snow... it was breaking news on the early-morning programs!! Yep, pretty funny -- news caster "live on the scene" with light flurries in the background. You'd never see this up north! LOL Big Grin I'll keep you posted! I must say that it is so beautiful...peaceful...outside now.

DH hasn't been out of the house in a few days either, but he's been able to work on some of his research from home. Good thing for fax machines and email! He used both yesterday to meet a deadline -- there was no way he was going out to hand-deliver any documents. Razz

Anyway, time to exercise!! I'll do both O! Buns/Thighs workouts here in a bit, then do my 3-mile walk.

More soon! Cool

Tammy

Good morning everyone! Wow! So many posts already! I did my Oxycise this morning.

Rose, Laura....and any others who are feeling poorly.... I hope you feel better soon.

Laura, we're getting those drastic weather changes, too. It was close to 80 yesterday and it's 24 right now. The wind was unbelievable last night!

Congrats to those who are doing well with their eating and Oxycising. It's always great to hear when folks are getting positive results.

Canadian Claire...it's nice to have you posting with us again. We'll try to help keep you accountable.

It's great seeing so many "newer" folks sticking with this, too!

I've gotten more "junk" mail the past few days, too. I have a good virus protection program, but I still don't open attachments that I don't recognize. I don't always understand how these things really work. I've gotten back "returned mail" saying it couldn't be delivered and it wasn't something I had ever sent! So I know that somehow your e-mail address can be used to do stuff. I don't think I have a worm in my system... at least not that I know of. Irritating!

Thanks for all your kind and positive comments. I do feel better today.... more in control of life. Well, maybe not in control of life, but in control of how I react to it. I've come to the conclusion that one of my worries is going to happen whether I get upset or angry about. So... now comes the part of acceptance and dealing with it. Anyway... it's nice having all of you as friends!

Hope the week is going well for everyone!

I meant to tell you in my first post that I've thought about you a lot the past 24 hours. Ice can really be beautiful, but it is such a pain to deal with!! It also causes so much damage. Be careful and don't go anywhere you don't have to. There's not really any safe way to drive on ice. (and definitely no easy way to walk on it!)

It's been a while since I've posted. I have been a litle discouraged. No wait loss or inches. (but not gains either) I went back and watched the introduction tape last night and I think I might be doing the breathing wrong. When Jill breathes in her tummy pooches out(just a little). Mine seems to go in. SHould I make my stomach pooch out? I sure need to get this right. I have been doing o! everyday in some form. I would love to see some more results!

Yes,Missy your tummy should be relaxed & "grow" a little when you breathe. If it goes in I think you're breathing more from your chest.

Hang in there & you'll get it right. I had to watch the video a few times & read the ook twice before I caught on.

Hello fellow O-ers!

I have been Oxycising on and off (mostly off--LOL!) since the fall. I just started level 2 last week. I have been trying for at least 6 days a week, but my goal is 7 days. I did it this morning and I feel great. I could really feel it in my hips, butt, and legs when I got in to work this morning. I was a bit lightheaded when it was over. I guess I'm finally breathing with more gusto! I'm trying hard to get the breath right as well as the positions. Sometimes it's a lot to concentrate on at 5:30 am!

I hope to be on this forum daily, especially since this coming Friday, the 30th, is my last day of work. I quit my job because I have lost 2 pregnancies in less than a year (1st was an ectopic in April, 2nd was a blighed ovum earlier this month) and really haven't been content at work. My husband and I have discussed this for months because I've always wanted to be a stay at home mom. At least I'll be a stay at home wife for now. I am going to take some time to discern what to do next. I also want my body and my health to be optimum because we will start trying again in 3-4 months. I want to continue Oxycising during a pregnancy. If I feel like it, I might O! twice a day since I'll be home.

I have tried numerous exercise programs and have never stuck with any of them. I have an exercise video/equipment graveyard in my basement! If I finally discover that O! really works, I will sell everything else on Ebay and buy the other O! videos that I want with the proceeds. I don't like working out for hours. I like the way I feel during and after a workout, but don't like the time commitment. That is one of the main reasons that Oxycise really appealed to me. I like the stretching and the deep breathing as well. I had begun some deep breathing for relaxation and stress reduction before I found O!, and I am grateful that I can incorporate that into O! and not have to do it separately.

Our weather here has been crazy as well, but that's typical for Cleveland. Yesterday it was raining these little ice pellets in the afternoon, and after work my whole car was covered in a coating of ice that took some elbow grease to scrape off the windows. This morning it was raining and in the 30's. It is supposed to snow later and drop to 19, so I imagine the roads and everything will be horrendous. Our driveway is a sheet of ice. I hope the rain melted some of it.

I was really inspired by the thread about not worrying about the weight, because muscle is denser than fat. I guess I need to measure. I think I've only measured twice and that was months ago.

Sorry to be so long--but that's my story!

Its been a while since I've posted, but I have been doing my O!, not everyday but at least 5x a week.

Im down 7 lbs since I started too! Big Grin

Kelly, I always see those "returned mail" in my bulk folder that I didn't send too. I always wondered what that was about....I think someone is using our real address's! Mad

Carol, good luck! Razz

Tammy, all that ice sounds awful! We don't have anything like that here. It's cold! It was 4 below this morning, and windy, with a few snowflakes.

I did my O last night, and plan to get it done again tonight. I feel so much better when I'm steady with it. My calendar looks pretty, too! Wink

I haven't been up and around to post anything for several days now. I pinched a nerve in my right shoulder and shoulderblade. I can't believe how horrible that feels! I haven't been able to turn my head to the right and can barely turn it to the left. I have been on muscle relaxers and Codine to cut out the pain and all it's done is knock me out! I'm afraid the muscle relaxers will slow my metabolism down and cause more weight gain! I can actually get around today so I wanted to stop in and see how everyone is doing. Congrat's on anyone who experienced weight loss, Hello and welcome to all the new folks and hang in there for anyone else that's experiencing pains or troubles!! You guys are all great!

Here's my post for the day! I'm acutally starting to have fun with this! Is that ridiculous? Anyway, I'm in such a great mood today, so sorry for anyone else that's feeling sick. I feel for you. I just got over a bad one and both my kids were sick at the same time. Had to take one to the ER and she had a tract infection on top of being sick. Poor thing. We are all well now though. so take care of yourselves well. The reason I'm in a good mood? Well, there is this pair of pants that I bought in the beginning of my last pregnancy-baby is 4 months-that I never really wore because though they kind of fit they were really tight in the hips and rear to where when I sat down I was afraid they would split!! LOL Plus, they were the kind of pants that show all the celluite-no what I mean? Well, just for kicks I decided to try them on today because I don't have many clothes that fit well and I wanted to wear something different. Holy moly!! They fit!! They fit comfortably, no splitting feel or anything. And to top it off when I was walking around when I was out today I had to keep hiking them up in the back because they are actually kind of loose. I haven't measured since the 1st of Jan because I plan to only measure once a month. The scale still says 5 lbs. lost but I know them inches are coming off!!! What a wonderful feeling!! Regardless that they are an XL in maternity the point is that they fit now!! I actually have an extra pair of pants I can wear. They are those liz lange maternity too so they don't really look too maternity. OH, and some shirts that I had in the closet that a cousin gave to me are fitting a little better too. Not as baggy as I'd like them to be but not near as bad as before. Well, hope everyone that's feeling bad gets to feeling better. If you've never tried Zicam-try it. It works for me.

Carol-Hope everything works out for you. I know it's got to be rough to go through all that for a child-but boy it's going to be worth it in the end. When you do get pregnant again, take it easy and make your hubby spoil the living daylights outof you. don't lift a finger!! LOL I know someone who went through something similar. She lost about 3 or 4 pregnancies, . She had two pregnancies that were twins. On the second set of twins, they lost one twin. the other one however is now a spoiled adorable little girl named Heather. So have faith. It will work out.

Everyone else have a great rest of the day and I will be in tomorrow!!

Terrie

Congratulations--Terrie and Blue Eyes-- you both have reason to celebrate!

Spring is already here in Guatemala-very short, cool winter. My allergies have been driving me crazy. Sometimes my Allegra just won't work and I end up taking Benedril or something similar. I have noticed that when I take Benedril, the next day I have a lot of water weight(even 3 or 4 lbs). Then it comes off again when I stop taking it. Does that happen to any of you? Keep meds in mind when you have an unexplained weight gain!

Jennifer- have you ever tried claritin for your allergies? I know it worked great for me and now you can get it over the counter. There was also something in a health store that I got once that worked real good but I can't remember what the name was. Just some natural stuff. Hope those allergies go away- I know they can make you miserable!!!
