Hallelujah, it's a brand NEW day and I began it with O!!. Smile

Life is too short not to feel energized, refreshed and ready for what comes my way. I had a banquet here at my work yesterday and enjoyed every bite - even the dessert! Eek Today it's back to fruits & vegetables. I have some great Lentil soup, too. I'm drinking lots of water, too.

Have a blessed day and remember: never give up!

Hi everyone. I kind of fell off the wagon due to stress. We have a new supervisor (with a supposed military background) who is making all the transcriptionists feel like incompetent recruits at boot camp. She should have gotten to know us and our work before making us feel so bad. Even though we work from home it has been pretty miserable. I'm not sleeping well (15 minute stretches). At least I know that I'm not the only one she is making feel this bad!

I have been doing some Leslie Sansone walks and just did O L2 today.

Good Morning Oxicise Pals,

I enjoyed reading all the posts from Wed., and now here we are on a new day already!

Shari, sorry to hear about the stress you are having at work. That is always bad when a new supervisor comes on the scene and wants to try and shake up everything immediately. Very stressful to say the least. Hope that all will calm down soon and that she will get to know her good employees!

Well, I just wanted to report that last Thursday I started my Oxycise program at 187.20 lbs. and today I weighed in at 185.40 lbs. I also measured my waist and found it was 1/2" smaller than last week, so I'm pretty encouraged. I really have been eating plenty and have not felt hungry at all. I want to thank everyone for the encouragement.

Kelly, I'm sure you will soon loose those couple of extra pounds again if you need to, but maybe that weight was a little less than what your body wanted to set itself at? I'm just going to try to shoot for between 130-135 this time. When I was young I wanted to be at 120, but I don't feel that is too realistic for me anymore. If I could get to 135 I'd really be tickled! Big Grin

Hope everyone is having a great day so far!!
Bev

I'm Back!!!

Sorry for being gone so long and so abruptly! Guess thats what I get for bragging on how healthy I'd been...I got a nasty cold (lasted at least a week)...and while recovering caught the flu (off from work for 5 days...uck!)...and then sucked it up and tried to recover as quick as I could so we could enjoy a weekend at Disneyland (which we'd already had planned and couldn't reschedule!). And then I got back into swimming or am trying to, but recently I've started alternating swimming in the morning with doing Oxycise in the morning. Swimming is a great workout, but the O! incorporates for stretching and really helps my flexibility.

Hey! I didn't come back alone...Hubby has been Oxycising with me!!!!! I think he realized how stiff (unflexible) he has gotten and saw that O! could help with that. He just said to me at the beginning of this week, "next time you O! I'll do it with you...". So I did my reg B&T workout and then went through the L1 with hubby. We've done that 2 mornings this week. He said he's sore...but that the stretching is good for him. But he begged me to let him take a break on Friday...fine, I'm going swimming anyhow. I'm hoping he'll keep O!ing with me...poor man has no flexibility in his hips. He's motivated to improve his flexibility, apparently it will help improve his golf swing. Honestly I don't care as long as hes doing some kind of exercise (hes not been good about going to the gym the last few months, and he doesn't stretch there).

So that's my update! Hubby's starting to get on board! I alternate between and L2 (great stretching!) and B&T1 (great strengthening/stretching) on days when I don't swim a mile in the morning. I could do better on drinking water, thankfully that is something I can do while I'm at work Smile

It's kind of sad to think that a couple in their young 20's, both used to be athletic coaches, got so out of shape so easily! We like to blame it on the desk jobs...but we know better Wink

I'll try to check in more often!
Have an excellent day Smile

Hello O-buddies!!!

Welcome back, Alex!!! I'm glad your dh has joined you!!! That's GREAT!!!

Bev, way to go!!! You're doing AWESOME!!! Big Grin

Shari, I'm glad to see you here today. Remember that deep breathing is one of the best stress relievers that there is!!!

We're missing lots of Buddies today. Frown

I haven't done my O yet today, but I will. I like to do it when everyone else has sauntered off to bed.

See ya!

Hope everyone had a Happy Thursday. It's been raining all day so my dh and I were not able to walk at the lake today. I did my usual routine w/hand weights, etc., and O! I was feeling desperate for a 30 minute walk. We went to a 24 hour retail super-store and walked several times around the outside wall until we completed 30 minutes since it was too late to walk at a mall. lol We may have to to do that tomorrow since we are expecting snow here tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow will be the end of my first week so I want to stay on track. I plan to report any results and new goals tomorrow after I measure. Hope you all have a good night! Big Grin
