We've been having so many posts on the WE lately I simply started one for Sat.

I had such a busy day yesterday that I didn't post. I lost 1 lb & down half an inch in my ribcage & my knees. The knee presses work!!!

We were at the prefecture for our French papers yesterday (it took 6 hours!!!!) then had a friend over(Titi) in the afternoon.
Here is her recipe for the King's Cake. All the measures are in grams! It's up to you to convert them, sorrySmile

Galette du Roi à la Titi
3 or 4 eggs
4 teaspoons of vanilla the best is vanilla in sugar form if you can get it=2 packs
500 grams of almond powder
125-150 grams melted butter
3 tablespoons of rum
Brown sugar to taste
2 ready made pastry "pate feuilleté not pie shell

Mix this all together. It must not be too liquidy or it will be too runny for the pastry. If it is you can add more almond powder.

Carefully unroll a pastry & place in on oven paper on a cookie sheet. Spread the mixture on top, leaving an edge to roll up. Place the second pastry on top & seal the edges. Trace diagonal lines on the top pastry WITOUT cutting it. Finally you need to "paint" some raw egg on the top so it is shiny & pretty.
Bake in a medium hot oven til golden but keep a close eye on it.

Feel free to clarify where needed.

Off to O!
Shelby

I haven't wrote on the board for a while but I do read the chat to keep up with things.
I haven't been doing as well as I'd hoped with staying with this. I think I'm going to make a chart to hang and see if that helps me as well. Thanks for the idea!!! I'm not losing much but later I'll try to write in my losses in progress when I get time to measure

Until next time...

What really motivated me lately was that I have been weighing every day. Sounds like a pain but it showed me how it fluctuates & helps me see immediately the effects of eating

I did my double L1 with weights this morning--don't have much else to say----hang in there buddies, we're in this together! Don't let small (or big) setbacks stop you! Consistency is what we must learn.

Hi everyone. I finally got all my positions in for the day. Today was "weigh and measure" day....everything stayed the same. I'm glad there weren't any gains since I've been pretty bad this week. Also, I can tell my TOM isn't far off since I'm feeling rather bloated (as well as ravenous!)

My daughter (the 16 yr. old) decided to do some Oxycise this week. She only did it 4 days, but still lost a pound plus a half inch from her ribcage and her waist! Maybe that will inspire her to keep on doing it!

Congrats on your losses this week, Shelby! Thanks, too, for posting the recipe. It looks yummy!

We were supposed to get a lot of rain this weekend. In fact, we still have a 60% chance both tonight and tomorrow. However, we've only gotten a little so far and the radar doesn't look promising. Frown yeah, well......

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!

Hi all!

I didn't O! last night after work, but I hope to get L1 in tonight. I start a new job on Monday with the Federal Government here so I will always have the same hours. I will be able to work 7am-3pm. I plan on getting some O! and other exercise in as soon as I get home and then make a nice healthy dinner! It will be nice to be on a schedule rather than shift work.

Well, I gotta run. Hope to talk to you soon. I'll post back tomorrow!!
