Good morning! TGIF! Cool

I've been AWOL the past few days... sorry about that! Wink We decided to take the plunge and paint our master bedroom and bath before DH starts residency in another 2 1/2 weeks. We've been stripping wallpaper -- one coat on top of another -- and it's just taking forever! Eek We're going to pretend we're on Trading Spaces and attempt to finish up the bath and bedroom over the weekend.

I am doing great otherwise. I've been getting my daily water quota (or challenge) in without trouble! Smile I am O!ing as well, and I can really see a difference this week.

I did O! L1 this morning. L2 on my agenda for this evening.

I'll catch up on reading the board later, then come back to check in again! Big Grin

Have a wonderful Friday.

Good morning, buddies, and hi Tammy! Welcome to AnitaMarye and mj--it sounds like you are both doing well.

We are up to our ears with wedding stuff and moving preparation, not to mention saying goodbye to all our beloved missionaries. But I am having fun! We are keeping the wedding low key and fairly simple, so it's not too stressful.

I plan on doing buns and th. 2 this morning and I'm sure I'll get in a commuter today.

Kelly, when you say you are watching the calories, are you actually counting them? Or just eating less than usual? Just curious, and so happy that you are having success.

Good morning Tammy, Jennifer and all to follow! TGIF everyone! I did L2 last night and also finished my commuter that I started. Hope to do something today as well.

Donna...I honestly don't know how anyone gets by with dial-up internet anymore. I've had cable for a few years now...and it's wonderful!

Hope you all have a great Friday and rest of the weekend. Looks like we'll be getting some tropical moisture from Arlene this weekend!

Morning - Just got in a commuter again but have "serious O!" on my to do list for the we.
Laura, your note to Donna made me smile. We also have dial up at home and it drives me NUTS! That is why I post from work although I don't feel comfortable about doing it here. Most times at home, I get "kicked off" & I have little patience.

Good morning Tammy, Jennifer, Laura, 2B and everyone else that checks in! I just finished my O! for the day. DD and I also did a 2 mile walk video. I wish we could walk outside, but the horseflies and deer flies are just too bad. Besides, the outside dogs like to come with us and DH doesn't like them around the goats (which is where we like to walk to). Yeah, well.... at least I have a good variety of LS tapes for us to choose from. I still think O! is all I need to do, but I guess it can't hurt to burn even more calories. Smile

I haven't really been watching the weather, Laura. Where is Arlene supposed to hit? For us to get any rain from a tropical storm or hurricane, it pretty much has to make ground west of New Orleans.

2B...did you finish up your top-soil project?? Did you have to have even more brought in? I'll bet you got a good workout doing all that!

Good luck with your home project, Tammy! It sounds like you and DH are literally counting the days until he has to start back. Wink

I'm sure this is a trying time, emotionally, for you Jennifer! I still can't imagine moving and having a wedding so close together!

As for my calories...yes, I'm actually counting them. It started out that I was just going to write down everything I ate in a effort to control my portion sizes. (Merritt had tried to get me to do that for years!) Once I started doing that, though, it just seemed logical to go ahead and figure the calories, too. When in doubt, I always round up. There are usually at least one or two days a week that I eat out and can't really estimate my calories (nor do I want to at times!). On those days I just list where I ate (such as Chinese Buffet, Pizza Hut, etc.) then put a ? for the number of calories. For my total that day I'll just figure up what I know and add a + after it. I'm trying to stay under 1500 most days, but know I go over when I eat out. The point is, I'm trying not to make a big deal out of it so it can be something I'll stick to the rest of my life. If I want something bad enough, I go ahead and eat it. I just try to keep things in moderation. I found a box of Samoa GS cookies in my freezer the other day. Each cookie is 75 calories! I usually have a cup of hot tea each night and if my calories look good for that day, I'll treat myself to a cookie or two with my tea. Okay...I've probably told you far more than you wanted to know! Roll Eyes I've just been pretty enthusiastic about how well my eating has been going lately. Smile

Hope everyone has a great Friday and a wonderful weekend! My teens are taking ACT again tomorrow, so they aren't looking forward to the WE. Frown

Just peeked & read your note Kelly - NOT too much info & had to mention I like your idea about listing where you ate. Everytime I've tried to write down my foods/calories, I drive myself nuts with every little thing & trying to figure cals. I'm going to use your system. We eat out too much but putting name of restaurant should help. thx 2b

Hi...

I was a bad girl and slept in this am. My DH slept in too, so I know that's the main reason why I wasn't going to get up. If he's not getting up, I'm not getting up! lol Oh, well, I'll be good and get my L1 in at some point today. Then, I'm going to do either my 2 or 4 miler today. I wasn't able to get my 2-miler in yesterday because I ended up having to unexpectedly babysit 2 neighborhood children as an emergency. I ran around like a chicken with it's head cut off though, so I'm not too concerned about missing a day.

Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Just finished L3EDI. Our company left this afternoon, so no more excuses for not doing my Oing.

Tammy, good luck with the bathroom renovation. Sounds like quite an undertaking!

Kelly, so glad what you're doing is working well for you. I've never been able to do the calorie counting thing, but I was keeping track of what I was eating and that was very helpful. I need to get back in the habit of doing that.

Jennifer, I don't know how you do it! I'd be stressed out to the max. Happy to hear you're enjoying yourself. Smile

Laura, I don't know if I've mentioned before that my husband's family lives in BR. Hoping that you don't get too much moisture from Arlene!

Happy breathing everyone,

Hello Ladies!

I just finished my O for today. I enjoyed it even though I'm very tired. Sometimes it's more fun than other times, huh?

Tammy, I'm glad you've been such a good girl. WinkI was wondering where you were! The project sounds like a lot of work, but it's so satisfying when it's done and you did it yourself!

Jennifer, when is the wedding? I'm glad you're enjoying yourself, too! WOW!

Lin, I hope you're feeling better tonight.

I hope Arlene doesn't get too carried away! Hang on tight!!!
