Hi Robin! I turned 44 last September. I've been Oxycising for close to two years. The first year I lost 44 pounds! However, I've let my eating get out of control over the past year and I've gained back about 9 pounds. The thing I've noticed most in my 40s is how easy it is to put the pounds ON, yet how stubborn they are now to get OFF! However, I think Oxycise has worked wonders in helping me maintain my weight the way I have. Two years ago I couldn't have eaten the way I do now without gaining lots of weight. In fact, there was a brief time when I first began Oing that I quit for a month and gained about 10 pounds!! So....I know it helps me keep from gaining a lot now. If I would just eat better, I think I could lose those extra 9 pounds plus some. I've definitely toned my body with Oxycise and feel more energetic. In fact, I just feel better in general! Kelly

Hi Robin and Kelly, I'm new to oxycise, I just received my tapes today, and I've seen this support group a few times, I was so pleased today to see 2 people my age with the same problems! I will be 43 in Jan. and it is so hard to budge this fat. I really only have 20 lbs to lose, I'm in a size 12 or a tight 10 at the moment, and I only want to get into a loose 10. I've been doing the bodyflex for a few months and have noticed slow changes, so I thought I'd add to the workout. Do you follow any diets at all? I find it impossible to do that, I just try to drink alot of water and be consistent with the b.flex and I'll do the same with oxycise. Hopefully, all of us will see results.

Hi, Vicki . . .
Sorry, I haven't responded more quickly. I have been following a Weight Watchers point system, but being VERY careful to keep it low carb. It's probably more of a Sugar Busters diet, which works really well for me.
For some reason, the traditional Weight Watchers diet -- higher in veggies, fruits, whole grains, etc. -- makes me bottom out blood sugar-wise. I get shaky and sweaty, and I always run out of points by about 2:00 in the afternoon. If I just make sure to eat enough lean protein throughout the day and eat veggies that are lower in carbohydrates (beans, spinach, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.), I lose weight more quickly and feel better. I eat scrambled egg whites, turkey, chicken, peanut butter, etc., so I don't get hungry. Amazingly, I usually have points left over at the end of the day to bank for special occasions. I'm keeping track of what I eat and plan to share it with Weight Watchers. So many of my friends have had the same problems.

Hello Robin, Vicki, Kelley, I am new and getting ready to order the package but wanted more info first. I too belong to Weight watchers. I gained 35 pounds when I quit smoking last year, and I'm 50 years old. I joined WW in january lost 8 pounds. I have hit a 7 week plateau, I've been the exact same weight for 7 weeks while completely following the program, walking 30 minutes in a.m. and going to Curves for Women in the evening, doing 15 minute exercise tapes daily and my ab roller and am NOT losing weight, and only 4 inches. Will oxycise help me break this plateau? Will it kick in my metabolism? I just don't know what is going on with my body. Helllpppp.

I've tried the Blood Type Diet and every time I adhere to it religiously, it works. Wheat and corn are said to be the two main culprits for people with O blood. They affect the thyroid gland and metabolism. When I cut these out of my diet completely (along with most dairy), the fat melts off. If I keep even a little wheat (one serving every day or two), it seems to knock the whole thing off course.
You must consider that most of the bread/grain products we're consuming has been totally stripped of nutritious quality, and not only that, but harmfully altered with chemical and bleaching processes. Then they add vitamins so we can "feel good about eating it." It may be some of these harmful substances, along with the yeast and gluten they contain, that will affect your body/weight/metabolism more than you realize.
I'm 37, and already I'm noticing the weight is a bit harder to lose.
