Hi all, I finally have the time to tell my story. 3 years ago, I was oxycising every day as I found 15 minutes so easy to fit in. In the first four months I went down to a 29 jeans from a 34 jean and was wearing clothes I hadn't worn in 20 years. I was 47 then and continued oxycising until I was 48 and some but then a combination of a stressful job, move and starting smoking again made me give it up. Top that with menopause and I quickly went up to a 39 jean! Well a month ago I quit smoking and went back to Oxycise. Not only did it help me with the cravings as they actually recommend deep breathing to help this but I am now back on track and will post often. I started the regular level one routine five days after I quit smoking and today, three weeks after starting O I have lost 1.5" off my bust, 5 yes 5! inches off my waist and 1.5" off my hips. I have now made it my goal in life to do every day. I tend to split up the routine during the week - I do the chair exercises before I go to work and during the day everytime I go to the bathroom I do the standing routine so by the time I get home I only have to do the floor excercises. (We have a private bathroom where I work so this makes it easier) On the weekend I do them all at once and incoporate level 1 and 2 excercises so it takes about 25 minutes then. Although I only went back to smoking for about a year and a half, I kept remembering how much better I felt when it was oxycising and wanted to get that great feeling back. So not only has it helped me with the non smoking it is giving me back my health, sleep and a healthy body by building my muscle tone and thereby buring fat. I don't weigh myself as I could get obsessed with the scale but measure once a week and will keep you all posted. I have to say that I am a veteran of the treadmill, aerobics and all forms of heavy excercises - oxycise is the most easiest for me and it is now my lifelong committment.

Cheryl that is absolutely stupendous that you lost 5 inches off your waist in one measure! Wow. Keep up the good work. Yes this sure beats smoking and putting all those horrible toxins into your body. I used to smoke years ago but have not smoked for at least 10 years, now I am horribly allergic to the smoke.

Keep on O'ing and come join on on the Daily Thread even if you only have time to post once a week. We would love hearing of your progress. I just started back up again too after not doing it for a few months in the summer. Boy it sure does make a difference when you don't do it and you sure do notice a big difference right away when you start it again.

Hi all...thank so you much for the great support. I had forgotten to mention that when I did start "O" I also modified my diet to cut out all sugar, wheat and processed foods. I do do a lot of cooking, make my own sugar free ketchup and I cook everynight for supper except for Friday when I pick up a rotissiere chicken. I believe this also helped with the quick inches off I experienced so far. Actually with the increased energy I have from Oing, I enjoy cooking more as I have to be creative in my menus. I also drink a lot of water during the day. A habit I learned at Weight Watchers ten years ago and just never gave up. I guess it is to each his own but I have found through previous experience with Oing and diet that this formula works for me.

Keep up the breathing!

Cheryl

That's so wonderful! Congrats! You'll be a 29 in no time! I ordered 'O' recently and expecting it any day now. I don't have much to lose but I want that last inch off my hips! Plus the breathing would help with stress and stress related migraines.
Keep us posted on your progress!

I just saw that you cut out all sugar, processed foods and wheat. That's where your inches went. That's still great though.
