Hi my name is Joline, I am a mother of two children, one boy and one girl. They are 7 and 4. I started the oxycising program when my daugter was three months old. Since then I have stopped and started oxycising and when I do it I see results, however my problem is sticking with it. Does any one out there have the same problem as me? I get so mad at myself because I think of where I could be now if I just stuck with it over the past four years. I really want to stick with it forever this time. I am really looking forward to having this online wupport this time. If anyone has any suggestions as to keeping me motivated I would love to here them. Oh my goal is to eventually lose 50lbs. I look forward to some suggestions.

Hi Joline! We're glad to have you here with us. Come join us in the D2L (determined to lose) O!Pals thread each day. That's the best way to stay motivated in my opinion. It's a great group of folks in there that will really help encourage and inspire you to stick with your Oxycise.
Hope to see you posting with us! Kelly |

Hi Joline, I myself am just a nubie, But so far I can tell this is a terrific program with lots of support from others. When i feel a bit lazy i remind myself of the goal i have set and am determined to see it through. But as the saying goes if at first you don't succeed try try again.
So i say welcome back and we will try to keep you on track this time. |

Hi Joline. I have had the same problems in the past with my weight. I would do something religiously and then stop for years and then have to start over again. Along the same lines as BlueEyes said, I like to set small goals for myself to keep myself going and keep reminding myself of them. For example, a few weeks ago, I decided to try to get down to 160 lbs by my birthday, which is three weeks from now, meaning I need to get rid of 5 1/2 pounds by then. It may or may not happen but the important thing is my pushing myself to stay on track by controlling my eating and oxycising and doing pilates. It definitely helps. Otherwise, I would get very lazy. I have 35 to 40 pounds left to lose and if I didn't make small goals, where there is an end in sight, then it will seem too overwhelming for me.

I have also had the same problem in the past of not sticking with an exercise program. Part of the reason was that with other programs, it took so much effort to see so little result. One thing that has helped me is to visualize this as a new life long health habit, not just as a way to lose weight. Like brushing my teeth--what would happen if I quit that for a few years? I see this as at least as important as brushing my teeth. And for me, this board is an important key. Frequent communication with others going through some of the same struggles has kept me on track. Soooooo, good luck! Forget the past, you can't change it! It's the future you have some control over.

I agree set small goals and each time you reach it go a bit farther.I have lost 1 more lb. this week i just can't tell where, but my clothes seem to fit different. My goal is set on certain spots, not just weight. I think that helps me a lot.

Hello everyone, I just want to say thank-you for the words of encouragement. I did not oxycise yesterday as I came down with the flu however I pushed myself today to do O! in five minute segments and I sweat it has helped me to feel a lot better than I did even this morning!!! I hope everyone has a great day and will talk to you tomorrow.

You are funny! I was wondering where the fat was going til I had to buy a new bra, yesterday. I am down almost 2 sizes on top. My boobs ( no offense!) seem to be evaporating!
