I have been oxycising for the past 35 days and have not noticed any real changes. I love reading the oxy news letter and the success stories on the web page. (I'm still hoping that I will be one of the successful recipients of this program). My husband won't come right out and say that oxycising is a joke, but he has made subtle remarks that are very disheartening. I continue to do my oxycise Level 1,2, or 3, each morning at 4:30 a.m. before work. I am going to continue to work harder at pushing the H2O. I hope I am doing the breathing correctly. I have read Jill's breathing techniques a number of times, but am still a little unsure. Can anybody share any tips on the breathing, to assure me that I am doing it correctly?

Hi Jen!

First of all, don't pay any attention to what your husband says about Oxycise! My husband thought it was strange at first, too...but he even ended up doing it with me for awhile!

Keep in mind not everyone shows results quickly. Are you noticing other benefits? There's a good demonstration at the beginning of one of the videos showing the basic breath. I think it's the Ab&UB tape. It shows Jill lying down on her back doing the breath. You can really see how her abdomen fills up with the breath. You might try practicing it lying down. You also might want to take a close look at your eating habits. I still think no matter how much Oxycise you do...if you aren't eating properly (too much fat, sugar, whatever) you won't see results.

I'm glad you posted and hope some of the others will jump in with their advice and comments.

Keep on trying!

Kelly

Julie has some great breathing tips and I think they're posted here somewhere. Perhaps you can do a search. If you can't find them, you can e-mail Julie and she will send them to you by e-mail.

Kelly has given you some good tips to try. The only thing I can add is the familiar, "do it with gusto!" and make sure you hold your stomach in until the last breath out, then relax before starting your next O! breath.

Good luck to you and hope to see you here on the board. Let us know how you're doing!

Susan R. Smile

P.S. Kelly, you are such a dear! You always take the time to help others and offer your support and encouragement. Thank you! Smile

Hi Jen Marie

I felt the same way you do. I am actually embarassed to do this in front of my husband. I think he may have looked at my Oxycise book and knows something about it though. He still believes the only way to get in shape is good old aerobic excercise with lots of sweating! He bikes to and from work every day in the summer and loses the weight he gained in winter! If and when I start to see results, THEN I will tell people about it. I have to agree though that the one time I followed the whole tape (level 1) I found that when I lay on my back, that is the only time I really feel like I am doing the breathing right! But most of the time I follow the book and it is more gradual.. adding a few new excercises each day. I am determined to keep trying though!
It helps to have this support system.

The other ladies gave you good advice, so I'm just going to say "hang in there!!!" Oxycise works!!! I tried it first without changing my eating habits, and didn't see any results. I didn't have to change a lot though. I still eat all kinds of things...just not as much that's not healthy, and more things that are healthy.
I don't Oxy in front of anyone either, if I can help it.
Anyway, I hope you continue to Oxy, and keep posting here!
