....I'm now making with true willingness because of the way I've been feeling, and the rapid rate of speed that I've been gaining weight.

You know, I've said it over and over on this board, that I wasn't willing to make big changes in my eating habits to lose weight. That's why Change One worked so well for me. There's NOTHING wrong with Change One, and I'd still recommend it for a reasonable, sane way to lose weight. The problems I've encountered have been building up over time. I've had problems with frequent bladder infections and yeast infections since I was a teenager, and I feel that it's a genetic thing, because my grandmother also had this weakness.

My oldest son and his wife were diagnosed by a chiropractor as having high yeast, or candidiasis, and when I started reading up on it, I realized that this is what I've been battling with for years. They were started on a cleansing diet to rid their bodies from the yeast overgrowth, and it's really helped them feel better. They were anxious that I would do it, too, because they felt sure that I had the symptoms, so that's what's inspired my dietary changes recently. My dr. diagnosed me as having interstitial cystitis, and recommended presciption drugs to control the pain, informing me that there is no cure, and I must just learn to live with it. To read about candidiasis, go to this site: http://www.drmyattswellnessclub.com/candidiasis.htm
We have found that the foods that the book "Eat Right For Your Blood Type" recommends are the ones that usually "set" the best, so the cleanse we are doing doesn't quite parallel with the one on this Dr. Wyatt's website, but it's very similar.

The basic diet we are following is:
No wheat, no yeast, no sugars of any kind, no dairy, no potatoes, no beef.
Lots of fruits and vegetables, rice, (both brown and white), corn & corn chips or corn tortillas, chicken, the kinds of fish allowed in the Eat Right book, 3 eggs per week, and sprouted grain bread. For a sweetener, we use Stevia sparingly. I'm sure there are other things, too, but those are what come to mind.

After 2 weeks, I'm noticing a big change in my digestive system, and I've lost 6 pounds. I can't say the other things have changed much yet, but I still have hope!

Susanna,
So glad you found what works for you and that your noticing some big changes in your digestive system. The loss of weight is an added plus right? Congrats!

I personally only eat sprouted bread. I usually toast it and put cream cheese on it. Yummy!

I'm on a detox/cleansing program. Since the end of March I've lost 30 lbs. and 29 total inches plus I feel so good. E-mail me if you want to know what it is exactly ok? dhpresley@cox.net. Make it clear who you are though because I don't "open" letters I'm not sure how they are. To much spam, etc. now a days you know? Leaving town Sunday the 11th for a week, but will check my box when I return if I don't hear from you sooner. Again, congrats!

Until next time...
Susie

SmileSusanna, it sounds like you have it all under control. You go girl.

My doctor tried to tell me I had interstitial cystitis a few years ago and I convinced him I didn't. I heard from a few women who did have it and I just didn't have the pain they talked about. I sure wish you well. I think there's about 50,000 cases and that's it. Guess the numbers have to grow before they'll spend any money on research.

Anyway, keep up the good work with your diet.

Thanks for the encouraging words, ladies! I definitely have the symptoms, Jeanne. That's why I'm so desperate to do something to really help myself. I'm so glad that our kids found this cleanse program just now! My symptoms were only getting worse and worse. Now I have hope that things will turn around and get much better.
Thanks for answering my email, Susie. For now I'm going to continue the program I'm using, but I will save the info you sent. Thanks again!
