Down 1 pound this week. No changes in measurements. It's no surprise that I haven't made more headway the last 3 weeks. I haven't been Oing more than 3 or 4 times a week. Apparently, that's enough to help me maintain at least. Maybe I've been resistant to exercise because my brain needed some time to get adjusted to the weight loss I've already had in the last few months before it could get geared up to lose more. (Yeah, I'm looking for excuses. Wink ) Well, I think I'm ready for more losses now. Big Grin So, here we go ...

Congratulations on the pound you lost. I would certainly be happy with that! Oh....and I thought your excuse sounded good. I'm ready for more losses, too. Let's both try harder this week!

Me too! I haven't done very well either, so I want to get back into the groove again. We can all help each other!

Congrats on your pound loss, EmBe. I'd be glad for that!

Isn't it good to know, though, that you can still maintain on only 3 or 4 workouts a week? That's a milestone. It means you have freed yourself from gaining by maintaining a minimum. That's huge!

Good for you!

Thanks. Yup, I'm really wanting to get in the groove this week, too. I've decided to O twice a day, 6 days. I'm betting that'll get my metabolism revved up. I did EDI L3 & L1 yesterday. Hope to do 2 sessions today as well. So, Kelly, Susanna, how are you doing with your O?

EmBe,

I didn't O over the weekend, but I did get started again today. How about you? Did you get 2 sessions done? I have a hard time doing more than 1 per day.

Good for you Susanna. Smile Yes, I did 2 sessions yesterday. I've discovered that I know the routines well enough from the videos now that I can just use the little "cheat sheet" that came along with it instead of exercising with the video. So, I O while I'm watching tv and it's not hard to get the 2 sessions in. It works well for me. (I also got a new Leslie Sansone video yesterday --combination aerobics and upper body strength training -- and had to try that out. I did 2 miles of that. It was a good day for exercise!)

EmBe, Susanna.... I'm pretty faithful about doing my Oxycise. I've rarely missed doing it at least 6 out of 7 days each week over the past three years! However, I have to admit that some days I do it with more gusto than others. So....that is one of my resolves.... to really concentrate and do it with gusto! Of course what I really need to work on is my eating and portion control. It's not really as much what I eat as how much I eat!!!

SmileKelly, I've been told more than once that in order for me to cut my portions, I need to use a smaller plate. I tried it at Thanksgiving and it worked.
Anyone out there with portion control suggestions? I'm open to them.

I use an ice cream scoop for mashed potatoes and rice, it makes about half a cup which is a serving. Also a deck of cards or the palm of your hand is a serving of meat. I used to know a million of them but my brain is shrinking Eek.
