I NEED ADVICE!

How do you all handle it when you do O! faithfully for a week, eat healthy, and don't lose ONE INCH?!? I'm so depressed I could cry.

Can anyone relate? I feel like giving it all up.

I think the only way to handle the times when you really don't have much to show for your work is to think of this as a life time habit that will eventually bring good health and weightloss. It also helps me to remember that I have read where even Jill has said that she sometimes went for a few weeks without results, but eventually her body would respond. Please don't give up! Our bodies are all so different, some do get immediate results, some take longer. Maybe you could try keeping up the good eating and exercise habits for a month and see if you don't get some results. Remember, slow and steady wins the race!

On a personal note....I have been there too. I stopped eating sugar a few months ago, way before I started O, and was able to drop 20 pounds. Until that point, I could never lose no matter what I did. I FAITHFULLY followed WW point system, and lost nothing my third week into the program. Since their plan fit sweets into the diet, I ate them. It was not until I gave up the sugary stuff altogether, that I started to lose weight. Some people are extremely sensitive to it, as I am, and it seems to shut their metabolism down. Also I would cut out most processed foods, and try to eat mostly whole foods. This could help, it did for me. I hope you achieve all of your weightloss goals!!!

Donna....don't give up after such a short time!! Many people are slow losers. In fact, I remember Julie saying that there have been instances when it was several months before some people showed any results! Make sure you are eating a healthy diet and keep on with your Oxycise. We're here to cheer you on!

Donna,

I ditto what the other girls have said. A couple of months ago I was where you are now. NO weight lose for 4 months & very little inch lost for several weeks. I really took a look at what I was eating. Started writing EVERY thing down that went in. I also started doing Oxycise twice a day on days that I could fit it in, which was must days. I was wanting to kick myself off that plateau real bad! It worked!!! You can read my 6 month report I just wrote Sunday.

If I can do it SO CAN YOU!! Just hang in there girl!! We are all in this together!!!

Well, you see, I've been doing O! since May 13th. I have lost 24 inches so far. But this is the first week I haven't had any progress. I guess I'm so used to seeing progress every week that it was a shock to me not seeing anything. That's why I'm so depressed. Did I do something wrong? Is this the end of my progress, way before my goal is to be reached? Do I have to add MORE weights? Do it more times a day? Or is this just a plateau I have to cross over?

I'M SO CONFUSED!!!!

Ah....a plateau.... Yes, those can be discouraging. However, I think most people experience them at one point or another. I've read where Jill had plateaus and even times that she gained a little. Our weight does naturally fluctuate.

Don't give up. Just keep on like you have been and I'll bet you start losing again before long. I'm sure others on here will tell you that they, too, had times when they didn't lose but did again later.

When I read your first post, I thought you were giving up after only a week of Oxycise! Plateaus are quite normal..it's just your body's way of adjusting...don't cry and definitely don't give up!! You're doing great...just keep plugging away and it'll catch up to you!

Hi Donna,

I agree with the other girls, definately don't give up. I have been quite slow to loose but I can definately still tell some of the advantages that Oxycise is doing for me. I can see how much it is toning my body. I took your advice the other day and bought some wrap weights, and I'm sure that they are really helping me already.

Maybe for you, try doing Oxycise twice a day to get you of the plateau faster.

Good luck, keep on breathing

If I remember correctly you have lost 40 pounds so far...? And lots of inches!

Definitely DON'T give up!

Ups and downs are normal... in both inches and weight. In fact it's unusual for people to see steady weight loss every week.

It's the long-term results that count and you have definitely come a LONG way!!! Smile

I just read this week's newsletter...maybe I should drink more water????? I drink 72 ounces a day, but I didn't realize you have to drink an additional 8 glasses for every 25 pounds overweight you are! God, that means I'll have to drink water until it comes out my ears!!!!!! I better get that bathroom clean...I'll be seeing quite a bit of it!

Anyways, I'll see if that helps. Thanks SO much for your support! I love this website-you've helped me so much.

Love,
Donna

Last night I reread the newsletter. It's 8 OUNCES for every 25 pounds overweight you are. Not 8 GLASSES! Whew! That makes things a little easier! My husband said last night that he heard you should drink a 1/2 ounce of water for every pound you weigh. That's approximately the same thing. I have now changed my program so that I drink a whopping 132 ounces spread out during the day. Let's see what that does. I'll let you all know.

Don't give up.....I have experienced this too....with other weight loss plans....tried so hard and didn't lose. I am new to Oxycise too.....BUT, Just give it time....like the others said this is GOOD FOR YOU...!!!

Hey....You must have lost some in the past with O....??? If you did...then remember those losses and KEEP going. Persistance pays off.

Maybe you should walk a bit if you can...that really helps me. I breath when I am walking too.

I will be praying for you. Let us know how you do...OK...???

Keep Breathing....!!!

Donna,
I don't know what your weight loss goal is... some of our customers are trying to lose 5 or 10 pounds.... others have a much longer way to go... and some are just trying to tone up or maintain their current fitness level.

But based on the email "Somewhat Discouraged" we received recently (I commented about it in this week's newsletter) it's possible for some people to REACH their goal and not realize they are "there." Maybe they get so much in the "mode" of losing weight that they don't know when to quit.

This woman I am referring to is 5'10", weighs about 130 pounds, and was very disappointed that she has had such a hard time losing additional weight.

I explained to her that based on her height, she is already at the low end of the scale for her weight. I don't think she was aware of that!

It's a good idea to test your body fat percentage from time to time, so you will have a better idea of how far you have come and how far you need to go... and when you have "arrived."

Smile Julie
