Compared to last week, I dropped another 2 lb.s; my body fat measured @ 25 with BMI still @ 28.

Since re-starting Oxycise 1/5/03, my weight has dropped 16 lbs. Comparing my chest, waist, naval, hips, & thigh, I've lost 13.5 inches Smile.

Sorry I didnt' see the quesitons from last week. It is a rare day that I don't do Oxycise at least once. My dog also takes me for a nice walk--we try to walk @ least an hour & go around 3.75 miles/hour.

Last, I'm just finishing my 2nd week on the Atkins' protien diet. When I started trying to lose weight in late December, I put myself on a very low-fat, almost vegetarian, diet. When I had a physical in early April, however, my cholesterol was up. Two of my work colleagues have been on the Atkins' diet for a few years. Before one started that diet, his cholesterol was high enough that his doctor wanted him to start a prescription to control it. Instead of taking the prescription, he went on the Atkins' diet. When he went back a few months later to have another test, his cholesterol was in the normal range. As they read Dr. Atkins' books, he contends that controlling or reducing cholesterol is natural with his diet. I'm just giving it a shot. We'll see where my cholesterol is when I go back for my next test and a few months.

Thanks and have a nice week,

Sam Smile

Sam, you are doing just great! You seem to have found the right combination for a good, steady weightloss.

I hope your new diet will help with the cholesterol levels.

I forgot to mention that I have also been keeping track of my diet & exercise using BalanceLog. I had a test done to determine my current metabolism. Based upon that, the software helps me balance the calories I eat with what I burn.

The protien diet that I am on may not be appropriate for all, but I recommend looking into getting software like this.
