I FINALLY broke that 250 mark! Smile
Today was weigh/measure day. I now weigh 249 and I lost 4 1/4 inches this past week. I can't express how happy I am to get below 250. I know it is only one pound below, but it feels like I broke through a wall! YEAH!!!!

I am so happy for you!!!! That is awesome! You give me hope! I'd really like to get below 215. I've been stuck between 215-219 for months now! At least I've been able to stay at 215 for the past 2 weeks! What are you doing do lose weight? I only do O once a day and I tend to only lose a quarter inch here and there. What is your secret? I'd love to lose 4 1/2 inches in a week! Congrats again! Smile

Thanks for all the congrats. I really appreciate it. I am so glad I found this web site. You all help me so much. Yesterday after I posted, I got out my old measurement charts and found that I had posted my stats wrong, so I corrected them.

LeeAnn, in answer to your question. I was stuck between 250 & 255 for about two months. Part of the reason for that was my cheating here & there. I love chocolate and it is very hard for me to stay away from it (especially during that special time of the month). I was determined that I was going to stop fooling around and get serious about this weight loss, so I gritted my teeth, tried to watch what I ate and sometimes worked out more than once a day. My girlfriend who is a marathon runner told me that I needed to increase my activity or do the routine with more gusto so I tried both of those things and it worked! Also, one of the reasons I am losing quicker is that I have alot of weight to lose. I heard somewhere that you lose quickly in the beginning if you are really obese. As I get closer to my final goal, I know it will really slow down. Then I will be whining like a baby! Roll Eyes

Alicia, I have the same cheating problem! Sometimes I just can't resist a snack! I'm doing a little better though. I usually do my O with as much gusto as I can, but other than that I am somtimes very sloth-like. I have decided to increase my activity! I got Leslie's 1 mile walk last night, so I'll be adding that to my O workout! I must get below 215! Smile

LeeAnn,

That's what we have to do, get determined! We CAN do this! I also have Leslie Sansone's one mile walk that I do sometimes. I get bored really easily so I have quite a few different tapes that I use. My main thing is Oxycise, but on weekends when I have more time I like to do Leslie Sansone or Taebo or Total Body Workout. They really get me moving. I figure, the more I move this fat around, the less it's gonna want to stick with me ! Razz

Hi, I see some of the same names who have been kind enough to talk to me here during my beginning, so I thought I'd join you. Alicia, that is great! I am so encouraged by your success and by your positive attitude.

I have to say, I'm sure I can stick with Oxycise! at least once a day since it takes so little time. And I actually do like getting mild forms of exercise like a short aerobics tape, stretching, walking, etc. at least 3 times a week. But that darned food... Mad I wonder if a person can have any success with Oxycise! and exercise, but no dietary changes. Anybody know?

Anyway, Alicia, thanks again for your tips!

I'm sure you could lose some inches and maybe a few pounds, but realistically you'd have to change your eating habits. Not a lot...but start by trying smaller portions of what you already eat. Add in some extra fruits and veggies and just try (slowly but surely) to get into a better eating pattern. Try to concentrate and eat only when you're hungry and drink lots of water throughout the day. If you're doing this to be healthy and strong I think you'll eventually want to eat better! Some of the success stories on this site have said that once they started the program, their appetite decreased...so maybe this will help you too!

Good luck!

Congratulations Alicia!! That's so great! I've so been there before...it's like when we reach certain goals, it makes all the difference. It is all about the process and when we hit those goals it just keeps us going in that positive direction. Yeah!
