No inch loss but a pound down - which is questionable because of being 'under the weather'. Will go back to Jill's into tape, etc. to make sure I'm doing what I should do.

O2B! Why question a pound??? Just gladly accept the loss! Wink

All kidding aside, did you figure anything out?

Well, Susanna, in doing some soul searching, I've had to admit to some things! In my defense, at this point in my life I really am juggling a bunch of stuff, much of which is emotional, family stuff. Fortunately, I am blessed with a very understanding husband who is (almost Smile) perfect for me - that really helps. But he doesn't remind me to O! -even if I tell him he needs to. But, the fact is I tend put certain things (me things) on hold until other things are 'perfect' - at least in my mind.

I mainly do the commuter tape - often when I do that I'm thinking about other stuff which includes a job that I like but, often, is very demanding; spending about 15 hrs a week in traffic that 'bites' and is hard for me to O! the way I thought I would.

Aside from work & the commute, our lives right now are really hectic - spending weekends out of town and playing catch up all week. Sometimes I just want to veg out. I have a wonderful life but I do miss the days when I grew up on a farm with a Mom that was home doing mom stuff and our lives were orderly and predictable - and hope to have that to some degree in a few years.

When I do O!, I find I'm thinking about other stuff so the 'gusto' isn't there or I just plain mess up.

This is getting way longer than I planned. But what it boils down to is; I know O! works; I know I want to look & feel better. So, I need to set some priorities and put the 'me stuff' in my priorities. Many, many people have busy lives - busier than mine and fit in what they need to so I have lessons to learn!

It has been too easy for me to procrastinate or do my O! half-heartedly thinking that tomorrow will be easier.

What I'm really grateful for is this board because if it wasn't for all of you, I really think that I would have completely given up on this with the intent of doing it when it is more convenient. That just wouldn't be good. So, for now, I'll look to you guys for inspiration, not drop out of the 2 a day club and aspire to O! with gusto.

Sorry I got so wordy!

O2B,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts here.
I understand how easy it is to just not do it. This board has helped me a lot too, but the results I've had have kept me going the most. You just can't argue with real success! On the emotional side, just doing O with gusto really helps the stress level. Remind yourself that you're doing it for your health...and that's really helped me MAKE time to O, even when I felt like I didn't have time.

I just want to encourage you...that's all! I've appreciated your upbeat attitude. Big Grin

Hey 2B, I'm impressed that you have been so faithful about working at being healthy when you have stressful stuff going on. It's so important that you're taking care of yourself. Congratulations on losing that pound and keep plugging away. The fact that you keep at it, even if you aren't always convinced you're doing your best, is awesome. It really is!
