Do I sense a need for an encouraging word? I've often gone through times of no losses...but just hang in there, and after your body gets itself all adjusted, you'll see some losses again.

NEVER GIVE UP!!!

I like this quote from a song or a poem...
"Life is mostly froth and bubble
But two things stand as stone:
Kindness in another's struggle,
Courage in your own."

You ladies have both shown a lot of kindness in the struggles of others on the board, and I appreciate it! KOB courageously! (It takes courage to keep going when you don't see results, and courage to keep going when something seems hopeless. It's not hopeless though!!!)

Hang in there, Embe and DON'T GIVE UP! Your body is just making some internal adjustments. Been there, done that. It's frustrating, I know, but keep doing your thing and your body does respond eventually.

EmBe and Ellen...
How close are you getting to your goal?

Are you measuring for inch loss too?

Is there any way to test your body fat percentage?

Thanks everybody.

I'm actually not discouraged about Oxycise. I know why I didn't make much progress this week. I only O'ed 5 times and a couple of those weren't very vigourous. I also did aerobics 3 times and toning twice just because I enjoy it, but I've never had luck with losing weight or inches with traditional exercise so I wasn't really expecting to see results this week. My only discouragement was with myself, not O!

Julie, I'm just 1 pound away from my short term goal of being Eek 100 pounds from my final goal weight. I have been measuring inches and body fat percentage as well as weight loss and have seen solid progress on all fronts. I'm very pleased with O! It works ... when I do it! Wink

I've just been a bit down this week, which has left me with very little motivation to do anything good for myself. But I'm starting to feel better so I'm looking forward to next week's weigh-in.

Thanks for the encouragement Susanna, I really liked your little poem.

Like EmBe said, I'm not discouraged with "O". It's just that my body isn't letting go of any more weight. This week I got a boost when my DD told me that my SIL had made a comment to her about how my "O"ing has really helped me look good. So I am taking a look at what I eat, ONCE again I am writing everything down. So far so good.

Julie.. You asked how close I was to meeting my goal. I started out weighing 156. I now weigh 145. I haven't lost anything since last July. I have been up & down just a few lbs. But been holding at 145 for a couple of months now. I would like to weigh 125-130. I am only 5'4". So I don't think that is unrealistic.

And Yes, I have been measuing inch lost. I have lost a total of 22 1/4 inches in the 4 places the Jill recommends. But only about 1 1/2 since Feb. I try to do "O" 5-6 times a week.

And No, I have never had my body fat percentage tested.

Thanks for all of your help. I do LOVE to "O"! & love coming to the broad to "chat" with the others. I appreciated all the help & encouragement I get from EVERYONE!!

Thanks!
