We receive many emails and letters from Oxycise! customers asking about
their hero, Jill Johnson!

Deb asks:
"How old is Jill Johnson? What's her height, before & after weight?

"Her 'Before' photo looks a lot like mine before losing 10 lbs on weight
watchers-- and her 'after' looks a lot like I did in my thirties. She
could be a real inspiration for me!"

To answer Deb's questions :
Jill is 5'7" tall and weighs from 125-130 pounds. (Jill talks about her
before and after weight in her comments below.) Jill just barely turned 49
a couple of weeks ago and has maintained her weight loss for 20 years
now! She continues to do Oxycise! 4 or 5 times a week and looks fabulous!


Mary writes :
"Dear Julie:
Because I am within 20 pounds of my goal weight, there's something I have
been wanting to ask for sometime. When I read about Jill's weight loss, it
seems she initially weighed about 190 pounds and lost 45 pounds in 6
months. She now apparently weighs about 125 pounds (and is 5'8" tall). How
long did it take and what did it take for her to lose those last
(stubborn!) 20 pounds or so to get down to 125?

I'm not as tall as Jill but my goals are parallel -- i.e. at 5'5" to get
down from 130 pounds to 115 pounds. I'm not making much progress but I feel
like the last 20 pounds part of her success story might be most helpful to
me in my situation.

Jill answers :
"The most I have weighed is 190, however I was in the 175 lb. range most of
the time -- so that's what I use for a base when I describe my weight loss.

"The only secret I have for success (other than the Oxycise! program) is
consistency and determination. Think about it all the time, dream about
where you want to be -- and your mind will help you achieve those
goals. The key ingredient is to DO IT!

"One thing that I've noticed in my personal life is that making the
original body change takes the most effort and attention. After you arrive
at a good size and state of health, it is fairly easy to maintain. That is
my favorite part of Oxycise! -- I can maintain for the rest of my life...

"So just keep at it day after day, and you will arrive! When I tell people
I lost 50 lbs. in 6 months, they think 'I can do that' but somehow don't
realize that during those 6 months, you will have weeks when you don't
measure a lot of change -- and it's during those weeks that you need to
stay self-motivated and consistent.

"You can do it! Be consistent!"

"I have been doing the commuter tape almost every day going to work for
about four years. It clears my head and helps me get a fresh start for the
new day at work. Last weekend my car was stolen; The only thing I was
worried about was my Oxycise! Commuter tape. I was disappointed when they
found the car and the tape was not in it. But now I found the web site and
I can order another. I don't want to be without my Oxycise! Commuter
tape. The tape relaxes me when I'm stressed, and just makes me feel good."

"Last summer I bought a pair of jeans for around $100 . I bought them
slightly too small, hoping that I would lose a little weight around my butt
and waist, and that they'd soon fit perfectly. Months later, they were
still much too snug to be comfortable. So not wanting them be a constant
reminder of my failure, I tucked them away into the back of my closet and
forgot about them.

"I have been doing Oxycise! fairly consistently for about two months. I
didn't bother to measure myself before I started because I didn't really
expect to stick with it. Amazingly enough, I've managed to do a session of
O! almost every morning (with a few breaks). It's probably the longest I've
stuck to a exercise routine in my life.

"I just re-discovered these year-old, brand-new jeans a week ago when I was
doing some spring cleaning. I thought that'd be a good way to sort of
"measure" my progress. I hoped that they'd at least be slightly
less-snug.. I slipped them on, and Voila! They fit!
And (even better) they aren't snug at all! They're now my favorite pair of
jeans. (This was a VERY nice surprise because I had been weighing myself
and the scale hadn't changed at all.)

"One more thing, you know that lump that appears on your back when you put
on your bra? I once heard it referred to as "back cleavage." That
stubborn back fat seems impossible to get rid of. But it's starting to
disappear! Wahooo!" =)

"I am a new Oxyciser..it really makes me feel good after I am finished. I
have not seen any inch results yet, but, I swear my lower belly has
lessened, and I do feel really energized after Oxycising. Question
regarding Jill's weight loss, you said she lost 45 pounds without changing
her diet. Was that on only 15 minutes of breathing with positions a day,
or did she do two sessions, or perhaps even more?"

Hi Alyssa,
When I changed my body -- now about 20 years ago, I spent more than 15
minutes a day -- mainly because I hadn't condensed the process down into
what is now the Oxycise! method. An important thing to remember is that I
was very diligent -- even when we went on family vacations I worked on this
while in the car and motels.

As far as food, I made an effort to eat more fresh produce. However, my
fat intake was terrible -- lots of butter, sour cream, hamburger and other
meats. In recent years I have improved my overall diet quite a bit --
mainly for the health reasons (I don't keep losing weight.)

I continue to receive letters and phone calls from others who make dramatic
body changes without changing their diets. As long as you don't start
eating worse, you will still affect a change with Oxycise! However, I
always promote eating lots of oxygen-rich food.

Also, I have received word from others who have had more dramatic results
than I have:

--- Erin Gadd, Salt Lake City, UT, lost 40 lbs. in 3 months (she sent me her
wedding invitation a year later)

--- Karen Olive, Vancouver, BC, Canada, lost 75 lbs. since last March. She has
no thyroid function, so this is especially significant. Her doctor told
her to get used to her body because she wouldn't be able to lose the weight.

--- Jane Ward, Golden, CO, lost 28 lbs. in 60 days and went down 4 dress sizes.

These are pretty dramatic stories, but they are true. However, most people
change their bodies at a more gradual pace.

It is perfectly fine to Oxycise! more than once a day if you would like.
