OXYCHAT! *************** May 4, 2006 Welcome to the Oxycise! Newsletter, a free publication to help you in your quest for the body you want and deserve! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *A* Waiting for Results *B* Questions and Answers *C* Sharing ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I started the Oxycise! program yesterday, and I really did feel energized all day and slept like a baby." ~ Sharon (April 24, 2006) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *A* Waiting for Results! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When new customers begin doing Oxycise! they are naturally anxious to see results on the scale or tape measure. But when results don't come instantly, does that mean they are doing something wrong? Is the program not working? In our high-tech modern world, we are accustomed to getting automatic results. We push a button or flip a switch or turn a faucet, and we immediately get what we want. But Oxycise! and our bodies--work differently. Because we are dealing with biological processes and natural laws, it takes time for changes to occur. It's also important to realize that everyone's body is different and has different needs. So people will see different kinds of changes when they begin doing Oxycise! Many people report more energy and better sleep soon after starting Oxycise! Within a few weeks, some people notice that their body feels tighter, and their muscles stronger. Some say they feel happier, or more alive. But some customers may not notice changes immediately. After doing Oxycise! for a few months most customers report inch loss. Most will also lose weight. However some customers who are just a few pounds away from their goal, may lose inches and gain a bit of muscle weight at the same time. (Having both of these changes occur together is a good indication that excess fat has been lost and muscle added--both great results!) Other long-term benefits can include positive changes in cholesterol levels, lower blood pressure, and lower resting heart rate. Because each body responds differently, we can't predict how long it will take to lose a given number of pounds or inches. But we really believe that Oxycise! is one of the best things you can do for your body! And those who do the program faithfully, correctly, and consistently DO see positive results! Here are just two case studies from our files, from customers who did not see immediate weight loss or inch loss. Case Study #1 I am emailing for the 4th time since January. That is when I started the program. I kept reading the newsletters and hearing about the almost instant results and became discouraged because nothing (I thought) was happening to me. Well, about mid March, I started noticing my jeans were getting looser and I ran to the scale, but alas, it stayed firm at my weight. But, because I believe Oxycise! is really good for a body (I told you I have less "senior moments" now), I kept on. FINALLY, in the month of April I am having a weight loss, especially since doing the 3 day cleanse. I am down about 10 pounds on my scale and 12 on the official scale at the Dr's. office. People are starting to notice. In January I went off all refined sugar and since the cleanse I am off meat. My beautician told me I was getting more hair. By-product of O!? I still have skin and nail dryness. I don't! usually O! on Saturday and Sunday and my body notices it! It really appreciates Monday! Thanks for being so supportive with your personal replies and the newsletters! My goal weight is 140. Sincerely, Cora Case Study #2 (from a message board reply to another customer) "I have had my Oxycise! tapes for a couple of years now and over the last almost 2 weeks have really given it an honest go. Before I started I was very, very depressed and even posted on here under the name 'discouraged'. I was really in a rut about my weight and how I felt about how I looked and about myself. "In an age where everyone seems to have the 'answer' to effective, safe weight loss in a record amount of time, i.e., shakes, pills, and starvation diets, we have no patience and no 'time' to offer anything healthy to ourselves. Trust me, I was in the very same boat you are in right now ... how in the wor! ld can breathing help you lose weight? No pain, no gain, right? Wrong..." "I have only been doing Oxycise! for almost 2 weeks and I honestly haven't had any 'measurable' results yet... but, I will tell you what seems to be happening ... my fingernails are growing like crazy, so is my hair come to think of it ... I do notice MORE energy ... my moods have improved greatly (which I can't put a price on and I am a happier person ..that was worth the price of the tapes right there). I don't feel the weight of the world on my shoulders anymore ... better circulation ... I sleep better ...I seem to eat less, but really am not that hungry anymore. My insides seem to be getting stronger ... stomach especially. All because I have committed to give myself 15 minutes or 1/2 hour to do 2 workouts a day." I guess it all comes down to you though, really. Take it from me, the tapes aren't going to magically work for you if all they do is collect dust on your wall unit. It's only 15 minutes a day ... Rome wasn'! t built in a day, right? YOU CAN DO THIS, I know you can. The first few times are the hardest, but once you get going it does get easier. Please don't give up on Oxycise! Read Shaun's story on the Oxycise! homepage ... that is what helps me get going. All you have to do is try ... WE BELIEVE IN YOU. "Sorry for the long post ... I just don't want to see you give up before you have even started. I wish you all the best today and always and hope that you will stay with us ...we are all in this together!" Crystal In summary, don't give up! Good things DO come to those who wait...and those who keep doing Oxycise! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *B* Questions and Answers ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ QUESTION What is the three day cleanse? ANSWER The three day cleanse is part of the book "Fuel for Success." It involves eating only fruits and vegetables for 3 days, and is suggested as a way of "jump-starting" a new and healthier way of eating . Oxycise! will work well with any healthy eating plan. But some people have problems making healthy food choices and would benefit from this book. Even those who eat healthy most of the time may enjoy reading the information and recipe ideas in "Fuel for Success." This nutrition guide focuses on eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, plus whole grains and other complex carbohydrates. Not-so-healthy foods are also categorized by grade. It is then left up to each individual to make his or her own choices. There is no calorie counting or measuring, just a "Food GPA" plan, with great ideas from Jill Johnson and recommendations to help you make wise choices for a healthy body. "Fuel for Success" is available on the Oxycise! website: http://www.oxycise.com/shoppingCart/prodinfo.asp?number=A6 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ QUESTION Hi, I was researching your website and I'm impressed with all the health benefits in the success stories. My question is this, has anyone mentioned the benefit of hair regrowth, or having healthier hair? Thanks in advance. ANSWER I have found several testimonials in our files that mention hair growth. (See testimonials below) We believe that Oxycise! is good for the whole body, but there haven't been any studies done to prove that it causes an increase in the rate of hair growth. If you have a problem with thinning hair, I would recommend that you consult a medical doctor or dermatologist to investigate possible causes and treatments. Best Wishes, Julie Oxycise! Staff Testimonials re. hair growth: "...On top of the inch loss, I have had more energy, my menstrual cycle has been uneventful (no cramps, no bloating...), my nails are stronger and nicer looking, my hair is growing faster, and my complexion is rosy and bright!" Jocelyn Dwyer ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I have great results...my waist is now 30" and my hips are a 43" (after being 52") I love Oxycise! and people laugh, but finally people are saying, "Looks like you're losing weight!"...I found out that when I don't do "O!" I have a bad attitude and I tend to be sluggish. I even believe it makes my hair grow, it is getting so long. I guess the oxygen helps." Marilyn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "My teenage daughter told me my hair and hands look younger. I dont know about that, but I sure do feel GREAT for probably the first time in my life. I feel healthier than I did when I was thin. Hope this helps motivate all those "breathers" out there!!" Susan ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I noticed that my hair grew so much faster while doing Oxycise!" Michelle P. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *C* Sharing ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Corrections In the April 3rd issue of "First" Magazine there was a small section within the article about Oxycise! that highlighted oxygen-rich foods. We have discovered several error in the information given in this article. We do recommend eating lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, salads, whole grains, etc. but the article seemed to suggest that people eat a CUP of EACH item from a lengthy list of fruits, vegetables and other foods, at EVERY meal. In addition, some of the items mentioned in the list are actually very high in fat and calories, namely almonds and tofu. These items should be eaten sparingly, certainly not by the cupful. In our optional nutrition guide we do not include nuts or tofu in the same category as fruits and vegetables because of their high fat and calorie content. So please don't eat a cup of almonds and tofu at every meal! You would almost certainly gain weight, no matter how much Oxycise! you do! In Jill Johnson's book "Fuel for Success", foods are categorized by grades. There is no calorie counting, weighing or measuring. The object is simply to maintain as high a "Food GPA" as possible. For example, the "A" includes all types of fruits and vegetables. Fresh, raw foods are best. Salsa is on the "A" list to be used as a condiment, but not "a cup at every meal" as the article suggested. The "B" foods include whole grains, rice, potatoes (starches and complex carbs). The "C" foods include breads and pasta. Tofu is on the "C" list and Jill has included the warning: "use sparingly, as it is high in fat". Re: Pesto, I’m not even sure why this item was included in the magazine’s list. If you like Pesto, check the label and use it on pasta, if you wish. But don’t “drink†it by the cupful! Marinara and spaghetti sauce ARE listed in the "A" section of "Fuel for Success", however Jill adds: "Either make your own or purchase bottled sauces that are made totally from vegetables." Raw nuts and seeds, like Tofu, are also on the "C" list. To these, Jill adds the precaution, "All nuts should be eaten raw. They contain high quality nutrition and are well used by the human system. Never eat roasted nuts. Avoid overeating nuts." How many nuts CAN you eat per day? Here's a reprint of some information from a previous newsletter article: 1 Ounce, Not 1 Pound When you add nuts to your diet, you add the health benefits but you also add calories. The goal is to eat nuts instead of other fat sources in the diet. Maureen Ternus, RD, nutrition expert for the International Tree Nut Council, recommends substituting nuts for other, less nutrient-dense foods. "It is important to decrease calories from other sources, otherwise extra calories from nuts can negate the health benefits by leading to weight gain," she advises. A 1 oz serving of nuts contains between 160 and 200 calories, most of which come from the heart-healthy, monounsaturated fat. The size of a 1 oz serving of nuts also varies depending on the type of nut. That's about 47 shelled pistachios, 30 peanuts, 24 almonds, 20 pecan halves or hazelnuts, and 14 walnut halves.
