My office workout is 30 positions and has no floor exercises in it. When I do my office workout IF I have enough time in the evening I do a few floor positions at home. If not, I don't worry about it. I expanded my office workout to my home non-video workout. It has 42 positions and takes about 25 minutes...I have lost a total of 23 pounds and 30 inches with Oxycise! since March. All in all Oxycise! has had a profound influence on my outlook and my sense of being in control of my health. I wish you all the best on your road to great health! I was thinking of bringing a tape into the office for my staff to use for stress reduction - I am an Operations Manager for a Mortgage company, sometimes a high stress, deadlined job, and I work with 6 other employees, mostly women. We were once going to try to do another excercise type tape but it was difficult to coordinate with the time it would take and the clothes and shoes that we wear. I think Oxycise! would be a great program to try in the office. "Anyway, have you ever considered doing a cd/dvd type thing with small 3 minute or so bytes of exercises appropriate for people wearing office clothes (skirts,etc so no floor exercises) or in offices or at their desks to use for stretching or stress relief? Maybe something they could put into their computer and pop up when needed? (O-fficise - ha ha) "Just a thought!!! "Anyway, I love Oxycise! and thank you for the great products. Thank You and Best Regards Julie Boswell Charles City, VA My response: Hi Julie, I'm sorry that we don't have an Oxycise! workout customized for the office...I think it's a great idea! But Jill has actually suggested that customers try adapting Oxycise! for use at work during breaks. A photo on the cover of her book "Oxycise!" features a gentleman in a white shirt and tie doing a "lunge" position in his office, using the back of an office chair. We have received emails from customers who say they have shared Oxycise! with co-workers, and one gal had formed a small group at work and wrote that they were doing Oxycise! together during their breaks! I often do "bun squeezes" when I am sitting at my computer. I have also tried pressing my legs outward, against the sides of my desk, or simply breathing and tightening my abs. Would you be willing to share your letter in the weekly newsletter? We might be able to get some additional responses from our readers, who may have other suggestions for "Office-cising!" I did have results but they ended up on my shelf and not used for years. Recently I made a decision to lose the excess weight I have been carrying since the birth of my son (10 years ago) and pulled the video back off the shelf. "Because my days are so busy with working, running a business and 4 children I decided to take 15 minutes during my lunch break at work to Oxycise! Last week I decided to see if my co-workers wanted to join me and yesterday there were 8 of us. Today I talked with our Human Resource department and they are interested in opening this up to the whole company. "I'm happy because now I will be accountable to stick with this and am looking forward to great results. Lorraine Burton University of Florida Foundation Update from Lorraine - August 20, 2003 "Hi Julie, I started the Oxycise! during my lunch break at work a few months ago, (we do the first 20 positions that are not on the floor), and I am happy to report I have lost 4" off my hips and 2" each in my bust, waist, arms and thighs. I have had 4 co-workers that have stuck with me and have been regular attendees. Others have come and tried it but did not stick. Of the four that have stuck with it, each one has noticed results. One co-worker was looking to improve energy and relieve neck and back pain and as an added benefit she has lost 2 and a half pounds (without changing anything else in her routine.) Another co-worker was looking to lose weight and to her delight also found that she could breathe better and easier. She said mostly she just feels "well". Others have noticed better posture and increased endurance. One new person just joined us and she said she feels more relaxed. We are all ready for a new routine though. I like the idea of combining the different levels throughout the week. We all have the routine down, but I think some new positions or more intensity will keep us going.
