Hello, there!

I have recently gotten the starter package Oxycise tapes & book and have started doing just the basic breath in order to get comfortable with it. I am using the commuter CD as my guide for pacing the inhale/exhale. I can do about 10 complete breaths at a time and then feel a need to stop. But when I do, I find myself lightheaded and spacey in my thought process for awhile. It feels weird and is a bit disconcerting. I realize this is probably due to imbalanced breathing...but I'm not sure how to correct it. Can you give me some guidance, please?

Thank you!

Funny Shelby!

Candace, welcome to the board! It's not unusual to experience some lightheadedness when you first learn Oxycise. Just keep trying to draw in all the oxygen you can, and try to also exhale all you drew in. Julie has some very helpful breathing tips posted at the top of this board. Feel free to join us on the daily thread for lots of encouragement and support!

Hi Candace,
Breathing in deeply without exhaling deeply might cause a feeling of dizziness or "spaciness". Try breathing out longer/with more power/more air volume and see if this fixes the problem!

Let us know if this helps!
