I'm curious to know what 15 minutes of Oxycise is roughly equivalent to, in terms of aerobic exercise for weight loss and/or exercise for firming. For example, is it about the same as doing 15 minutes of brisk walking or is worth more than 15 minutes of walking?
Has its effectiveness ever been measured against other forms of exercise in a study? I've been oxycising for one week and feel like it is very beneficial for stress reduction. I am hopeful it will also help me lose inches! |

Hi Anetski,
We have not done comparative studies with Oxycise! and other forms of exercise other than a stationary bicycle at different exertion levels. Even at 75% capacity on the stationary bike, which Jill says is very difficult to maintain for a long time, Oxycise! still came out on top, as far as calorie burn and oxygen consumption. At 48% capacity on the stationary bike, Oxycise!produced a 52% higher calorie burn. My own opinion is that 48% capacity might be comparable to a brisk walk, whereas 75% would be more like running full out. This is only my very unscientific opinion, but hopefully it will give you an idea for comparative purposes. If you took 10 people and tested them as they did Oxycise! there would probably be a difference in calorie burn. Some of this would be due to HOW they Oxycise! (How much air volume, how effective is their breathing, how much power, how much effort in working their muscles as they do the body positions, etc.) So for best results, always be aware of what you are doing and be looking for ways to improve your own technique and effort. :-) |
