From reading up a little on deep breathing, it seems the body starts to clean up when starting a program such as this one.
I am having a hard time just as I did with a previous similar program or when I try to eat healthy such as vegan/raw.
In the evenings after doing the program for about three days, I will have irregular breathing attacks. NO wheezing but just something like a panic attack and finding it hard to control my breathing. I chalked it up as detox as I mentioned that I get the same thing when eating greens and such.
I have to then quit for a few and then re-start but eventually leads to the same thing. I have done this mad cycle for years now with no different results.
I have been tested and re-tested at the doctors and I'm completely "healthy" as far as blood tests but nobody can explain the breathing issues that plague me. They are debilatating to say the least.
I have been a shallow/ mouth breather all my life due to allergies. Could I just not be used to having all this oxygen in my body?
Any tips from past experiences would be helpful as I try to figure out the mystery.
thank you
mimi

Hi Mimi,
Welcome to the board. I haven't experienced a panic attack, but I have been a shallow/mouth breather for years due to allergies. What I did was to start SLOW. I started with doing 5 minutes and then slowly added until I was able to do an entire level. Also, I spent a lot of time at first on the intro video to make sure I was doing the breathing correctly. Now I can easily do even two sessions without problems, and allergies have been greatly reduced using O.

One other tip is when it gets really dry, such as now I will do my O near a humidifier or even do some of them in the shower. It seems to really help with the breathing.

Kirstine and others should be back on board by the first of the year, so hopefully someone will be able to help you even more.

Hi Mimi,
I don't recall any mention of panic attacks starting after using the Oxycise! program. I have received emails from customers who say their panic attacks have stopped after starting Oxycise!

Here are a couple of suggestions. You might try gradually increasing the amount of reps you're doing each day. And you also might try breathing a little more gently until your body adjusts to the increased breathing.

When doing the Oxycise! program it is important to focus on breathing evenly. Because if you are inhaling a lot more than you are exhaling, then you will become light headed or dizzy. If you are exhaling more than you are inhaling then you're not getting enough oxygen into your brain/body.

Do some practice breaths and take in less and really concentrate on exhaling out powerfully and fully. You may want to focus on just the breathing for a few days before you add in the positions.

It is important to breathe correctly, but not too much. As mentioned above, too much can make you dizzy. That is one of the big problems in a panic attack, the rapid, shallow breathing causes an oxygen overload, which actually gets you light-headed, and then fearful of that sensation (it feeds itself.)

I hope this helps you. Please let me know how you progress.

Good luck!

Thanks, ladies.
None of the panic or irregular breathing issues are happening at the time of excersize. It will happen after about two consecutive days of doing the excersizes in the morning. Come evening is when I experience the detox symptoms. It's very strange indeed. The same thing will happen with no excersize and if I have been ingesting really good foods such as green smoothies. That is why I thought it's my bodie's way of cleansing. But sometimes it's unberable and nobody can figure out why this happens.
I always quit and re-start as I have recently done. i want to try again. I'll try to work my way up and start gradually and see if that helps.
Thank you for your imput. I greatly appreciate it.
