Hello, I just recently read about the Oxycise program in a magazine and came onto the website to check it out.
One of the success stories I read came from a woman who said her skin tightened up quite a bit. My sister underwent gastric bypass surgery about two years ago and lost an incredible amount of weight. The only problem is that she lost it so fast her skin didn't have a chance to conform to her new shape. Not to get icky, but she literally has skin hanging five to 10 inches from various parts of her body. She's planning on undergoing surgery in a few years to remove it, but the surgery is considered dangerous. My question is this: Can Oxycise help tighten her skin up? Bring it back into a more normal shape? Thank you for taking the time to read this. |

Hi JC,
I suspect you are referring to the "Success Story" from Nancy F. Her story really IS remarkable! I don't know if other Oxycise! customers have seen improvement in loose skin after losing large amounts of weight (readers, please feel free to add your own comments). We get quite a few questions on this subject and my best response is to go ahead and do Oxycise! and see how your own body responds. If someone loses large amounts of weight, and especially if the weight has been lost quickly, there may be some loose skin left. And in time, this may shrink up. The final result will depend on how much weight you lost (and how stretched out your skin was when you were heavy), your age, genetics--how elastic your own skin is, and possibly other factors. Definitely do all you can to exercise, eat healthy, include small amounts of healthy fats such as olive oil, avocados, etc., in your diet; avoid excessive sun exposure and drink lots of water. If someone has done everything she can to exercise and achieve healthy (gradual) weight loss, and time has passed, and large amounts of skin are still hanging, then she might wish to consult a plastic surgeon to discuss options for possible surgical removal of the extra skin. Hope this helps! Julie |
