I've been doing Oxycise religiously for almost 2 months and have not lost any weight. I started doing L1 back on December 11 and moved into doing L2, L3 and even Thighs and Buns I, since then. I believe I have the breathing technique down. Are there just some individuals that do not benefit from a weight-loss standpoint? I know I'm probably healthier (I have noticed my fingernails have been growing quicker than usual and the adult acne on my face has practically disappeared). But I would really like to benefit from a weightloss standpoint. I've logged all my workouts and have done them with intensity and really liked the fact that it only took 15 or 30 minutes depending on how many videos I did that day. Typically I would O! approx. 9 times a week. This should bring results. . . . right? I've started back weightlifting to firm up my body, but I would like to continue O!ing instead. I've been watching what I eat and I've cut down on the starchs at dinnertime, since we eat so late.

Have you compared measurements? A lot of people (including me) notice that they might not lose weight, but their measurements go down since muscle is leaner and heavier than fat.
Also, I'm iron-deficient-anemic, and if I don't take my iron no type of exercise will help me as much. Rose |

Just a quick hello to everyone, Rose i agree with you. This is the 1st week i have noticed the weight increased. But i am trying something this month, I am on a 3 day diet on wed, thur, & fri and following the FFS the rest of the time, I also started doing L2 where i was doing L1 twice a day. Now i am doing L1 & L2 one after the other.
I have 10 more lbs. i want to lose. But i know i am changing in other area. I also took my measuring tape and set it where i started, i could sure tell the difference. that in itself made me feel great. Was able to walk 2 mile this morning, it has been about a month as the weather has not been nice enough to walk. Hope everyone is doing well, Dr. appointments having good news, and children are healthy. Dad is the same, only time will tell i guess. Got to run Keep breathing everyone |

It's very important to understand that everyone who does Oxycise! has different results.
This can be due to several factors: The quantity and quality of their Oxycise! workouts: You tend to get out what you put in. How much effort people put into the workouts -- taking in lots of air on the inhales, and really using a lot of "ab power" on the Lift and the exhale and extra sniffs and puffs! Also really flexing the muscles during the body positions. How often they do Oxycise! Eating habits. Calorie intake may still exceed calorie output, even if a person is doing lots of Oxycise! (or any other exercise) If you combine consistent Oxycise! with consistently good eating choices you can expect better results. Another reason for different results is that everyone has different bodies and different health and fitness needs: Some people may have large amounts of weight to lose, others may be within a few pounds of their ideal weight. Some people have lost muscle tone or muscle mass due to age, dieting, inactivity, or a combination of factors. Increasing their muscle mass will improve their ratio of lean body mass to fat. Some people have fairly healthy eating habits and just need to rev up their metabolic rate by increasing their activity level. Others may have major challenges controlling their food intake. The good news is that Oxycise! can help in all these situations. The key is to make small improvements day by day, here a little and there a little, and not give up -- just keep trying to do better. As long as you are drinking plenty of water, inch loss is a good sign that you are burning excess fat. A body fat percentage test is one of the very BEST ways to determine where your body is really "at". Most gyms and health clubs can give you a pretty reliable BF% test. If your body build is muscular -- or if you have a large skeletal frame -- you will automatically weigh more than someone your same size who has less muscle or a smaller bone structure. And if your body fat percentage is in the "excellent" range for your age (See Jill's book "Chart Your Success") it really doesn't matter how much you weigh. Here's a message from Jill that was printed in the OxyChat Newsletter several years ago. I hope it will be encouraging to everyone! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Greetings fellow breathers! I've had so many personal emails about expected results with Oxycise! that I thought I'd share some thoughts here. "First of all, you MUST remember that none of you are robots and all of your bodies are in different conditions. As you've read, some people start Oxycise! and have dramatic results within the first week (I've had people lose 5 inches off of one measuring spot alone. I even witnessed a man lose 1.75 lbs. during one 15 minute session.) There are also people who make very little change the first week or month, however, start to show change after being consistent for a time. (One woman wrote me who played around with Oxycise! for a couple months and made little change, then something happened and she lost 10 lbs. in 12 days and went from size 14 to size 10 jeans.) "One thing that I've noticed in my personal life is that making the original body change takes the most effort and attention. After you arrive at a good size and state of health, it is fairly easy to maintain. That is my favorite part of Oxycise! -- I can maintain for the rest of my life. (It's already been over 12 years.) "So just keep at it day after day, and you will arrive! When I tell people I lost 50 lbs. in 6 months, they think "I can do that" but somehow don't realize that during those 6 months, you will have weeks when you don't measure a lot of change -- and it's during those weeks that you need to stay self-motivated and consistent. You can do it! Be consistent!" Breathe on! Jill Johnson |
