I am new to Oxycise. Love the program, just getting started on the weight loss. my question is how many points would rice milk be? I have irritable bowel syndrom and hypothyroid and can't have soy products. The ingredients are water, organic brown rice, oleic safflower oil, tricalcuim phosphate, vitamin D2, Vitamin B12. Also I use 97 percent fat free ground turkey do I still have to count it as 1 point. Thanks for your help

Raedell,
I'm not Julie, but wanted to say Welcome to "O"! I wish I could give you an answer but I have no idea. Just wanted to tell you to hang in there while waiting for an answer. Sometimes it takes awhile but THEY will get back to you ok? Until next time... Susie |

Hi Raedell,
In Jill's book "Fuel for Success" she ranks low-fat soy milk as a "B" food (under sauces and dressings) and adds the recommendation: "use only on cereal, not for a drink". I believe rice milk would be in the same category. |

Hello Raedell.
It sounds like you're asking a weight watchers question. My friend does ww, I'll ask the question to him and get back to you. In the meantime, welcome to Oxycise and I know you will love it. Come over to the D2L (determined to lose) post and let us know how you're doing. Welcome aboard. Hope to see you around. Jeans |

Re: Turkey
Raedell, Jill believes in following a "better than" philosophy. Eating ground turkey is better than eating ground beef. Eating LEAN ground turkey is even better! So good for you! As long as you are eating lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, etc. and doing Oxycise! consistently, you can "afford" to eat lean cuts of meat a few times a week. Jill says she eats salmon and skinless poultry occasionally too. But do continue to check the labels though for fat content. Some ground turkey has a lot of fat, because they grind the meat with the skin. Other ground turkey will specifically say "breast meat only." So some ground turkey is much "better than" others for fat content. Take care! |
